Is it just me or does the positioning of eyes and nose seems a bit off? I refer to the close up.
Also biologically speaking the metamorphosis process from 4 to 5 would be ungodly painful if the succubus doesn't enter in some sort of stasis. Just saying.

There's some loose lore on 'em I neglect to mention, but an idea I had was them having oral "webbing" glands to bind themselves up for each metamorphosis. Caterpillar to Butterfly would/probably is ungodly painful, but hey.

Actually the butterfly doesn't feel "pain" as we know it due to their nervous system being way less developed.
In fact I just read the whole thing again and you did a pretty nice job so far. The thing is, from 5on the sucubbi has develop nerves and a rather complete bone structure. Any and every harsh change on body will result in agonizing pain, and developing a glan to produce natural painkillers would be too troublesome as it would implicate in many other evolution steps.
I didn't mean to go all science about this, but since the author felt interested in replying, I'm glad to talk.
A translation of what the succubus will feel if the metamorphosis keeps on going is: Hard contractions and expansion of international organs, melt down and rebuild of several muscles and joints, as well as a fast change in bone structure. The 8 years turn you have set isn't that inaccurate, the real problem is the amount of food it would be needed to trigger all the transformations so far.

That's dealing with NORMAL food. It eats people. When you start talking human-body-scale caloric doses, then it becomes a little less wild.

Depends on how developed their bone structure and nervous system are at the time. The transformation may trigger an inhibition of pain receptors like a natural painkiller effect to protect the young psyche of the succubus in question.

This site has the intention to support and host art related to individuals swallowing others whole throughout a variety of ways. The time to "feel weird" was left behind a long time ago.
