Nothing says "burning ring of fire" like one of the people in the lifeboat you swallowed managing to fire a distress flare out your bottom. All Selene wants is to lie around digesting her meal (and her more normal sized mother, to digest the couple of people who escaped the lifeboat as it was eaten) and then this happens. How rude.
