This was an amazing story! I have no clue who the characters are, but your descriptions are great! Loved how you wrote the weight gain and digestion sequence. If I could offer any constructive criticism, don’t be afraid to use descriptors that describe the same sort of imagery (e.g. instead of using the wind twice in the same sentence, try using breeze). But seriously, great stuff!
