Stepping out fully into the corridor you clear your throat and ask if she wants something.

"Erm, sorry you startled me is all... I'm quite alright."

Your confusion comes across in your questions: Who she is, where you are, and what has happened.  She seems to relax a bit as you talk to her.  But you realise you have introduced yourself as Avatar.  You're not sure where the name came from but it sounds right.

"Well I'm Doe,  I work as a secretary for ISET, the power company.  I've lived here for a while but the room you came from has been empty for a few months.  I didn't even know anybody was moving in.  You aren't from Astral City are you?"

She pushes the door open into her darkened room and keeps her hand outstretched inviting you inside.

"Do you want to come in?  I can make us some cocoa, or tea."
