a commission for Vfan1155 featuring himself and Seviper!
comes with a lovely story that the commissioner authored:
---------------
Seviper had a reputation for being the most stubborn serpent in A's manor. She mostly kept to herself, and I never got the chance to say much to her besides "Hi Seviper! How's it going?" I think she had trust issues with new faces, and I actually understood her position. On the other hand, I really wanted to just chat with her because I honestly found her somewhat amusing in the sense that I heard from certain individuals in the manor that Seviper shared a certain interest that I had. Now, it wasn't the interest that involved getting up close to a predator's innards, but it was a subject that I could literally talk for hours about. I knew that if I could get a conversation going about the topic, we could probably connect a bit better.
I walked up to the door where Seviper made her living space. A small part of me was nervous to even open the door, as Seviper was one of the more unpredictable serpents living in A's manor. Bracing myself, I took a deep breath and turned the knob.
I cracked open the door slowly and called out in almost a whisper-like fashion, "Hey Seviper? You here?"
My heart nearly jumped into my throat as she suddenly appeared in front of me! I instinctively backed up as she got right in my face. Her piercing red eyes were locked onto me, and she was reared up taller than me.
"Woah woah, hey! This is my room! You can't just come in here!" she interjected, obviously annoyed at me.
I immediately went into my apologetic phase, "Sorry! I just wanted to see if you were available today."
Seviper furrowed her brow (or whatever constituted as a brow on a snake) and retorted, "Available for what? If you want to bug someone, Arbok is right down the hall."
Adamant on getting the message across that I wasn't making it a priority to get swallowed, I replied, "I really do want to hang with you, though. I heard you really liked Metal music, and I thought it would be cool to have a conversation about it and-"
"Wait a minute... You? You like Metal?" she asked, slightly amused.
I could tell that she was taken aback, considering how I didn't look like a hardcore Metal fan. I didn't have any piercings, tattoos, or anything that the average person assumes a Metal fan to look like. Sensing that I got a bite, I continued, "Yeah, I'm pretty much a fan of any music as long as it's good, but the Rock and Metal genres are my favorites."
Seviper's tongue flicked in and out as she mulled over her thoughts. Then she gave me her answer, "Hmmm... On second thought... Sure... Come on in."
I breathed a sigh of relief. I was almost worried she was going to stab me with that tail of hers if I really pushed her buttons. However, I could have sworn she spoke under her breath as a passed her. Something along the lines of, "I think you'll come in handy later..." I shrugged it off as nothing, though.
I sat down next to Seviper, but tried to keep out of her personal space. I pulled out my iPod and started searching for albums she may have been interested in. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw her pull out an old-fashioned boombox with a cassette player.
"Oh wow! You still listen to Metal with cassette tapes?" I asked, looking at her selection.
"Yup! It's part of the experience," she replied, "So what are your favorites?"
"Whew... That's a loaded question. I have too many to count, but I'd say my favorite Metal bands would have to be Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Disturbed."
Seviper appeared to crack a smile for a moment, "Nice choices. You get into those recently?"
"No seriously! Especially Disturbed! That was probably my gateway into Metal music!"
"Well, you're in luck. I just so happen to have the cassette of The Sickness," she replied, flipping out the all-too-familiar cover of Disturbed's debut album.
She put the cassette into her boombox, and started up the first track, Voices. The memories of first listening to the album flooded back to me, and I began to bob my head up and down to the music. By the time we hit Down with the Sickness, Seviper was mouthing the words to the song,
"Looking at my own reflection
When suddenly it changes!
Violently it changes!
Oh no, there is no turning back now
You've woken up the demon... in me!~"
As the rest of the track played out, I grinned at her, "Great stuff! You ever hear their newer stuff? Asylum? Immortalized?"
She turned to me, "Please tell me you have Immortalized. I've been meaning to buy that one."
I pointed at my iPod and made the selection, "Wait until you hear this."
I pressed play and let the song start up. A melancholy piano tune was heard for a few seconds before the voice of David Draiman echoed in a hauntingly beautiful cover of Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence.
"Hello darkness, my old friend...
I've come to talk with you again...
Because a vision softly creeping...
Left its seeds while I was sleeping...
And the vision... that was planted in my brain...
Still remains...
Within the sound of silence..."
Seviper was transfixed by the departure from the usual heavy-metal techno beats that Disturbed was known for, and by the final notes of the song, she exhaled and looked at me with awe.
"Dude, that was amazing... Draiman has some incredible range!"
"I know, right? He nailed it!"
After recovering from the amazement we had with that song, I brought up another topic, "Honestly, I can't listen to too much modern day music. Classic Rock and Metal are my go-to."
"Any reccommendations for rock I'd like?" Seviper asked.
"Well... If you want something that's more emotionally charged and up your alley, I'd say give Pink Floyd a listen. The Wall is one of my all-time favorite albums for its symbolism and dark nature."
"I think I have that one somewhere, but I never got around to it..." she said passively.
"It's one of those albums you have to listen to from start to finish to get the full effect," I explained, "Honestly, if you get me talking about The Wall any more, I'm going to spoil it for you. Best you just hear that one without my explainations."
"Duly noted. I'll keep it in mind," she said, taking out a cassette of Pink Floyd's The Wall and setting it aside for later.
"Hey, you ever listen to Queen?"
Seviper flicked her tail side to side, "Ehh... Here and there. Haven't heard too much of them honestly."
"Have a listen to this. I grew up on this music," I chuckled, clicking my iPod again. The next song started up with these lyrics:
"She keeps Moët et Chandon
In her pretty cabinet
'Let them eat cake,' she says
Just like Marie Antoinette"
I waited for the main verse of the song, and saw Seviper bobbing her head to the beat slightly,
"She's a Killer Queen~
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime!~"
As the song played out, Seviper commented, "Any reason for this song in particular?"
"I felt like it... fit your tastes well," I replied. Honestly, this song reminded me of Seviper in a lot of ways. Queen was always up for interpretation, but I couldn't help but think of her personality and how well it blended with certain lyrics. I think Seviper noticed the connection, too.
"Heh... Well, speaking of tastes..." she added, looping her body around my back, "I didn't just change my mind about inviting you with no reason."
I smiled, "Oh really?"
"Yeah. I heard from your milotic friend that you give quite a good massage?"
I felt the blood rush to my face, "Well... Yeah, she says that it's a good way to relieve stress and tension." Was she about to ask me what I thought she was going to?
I saw a smile form on that wide mouth of hers, "Then I'm in dire need of stress relief. You don't mind treating me?"
Tentatively, I put a hand onto her coils. I expected her to stab or bite me, but nothing happened. She was being serious with me. "S-sure! I can do that for you! I just need to get on top of your back to get at your spine, if that's alright..."
"Knock yourself out," she said, allowing me to sit along the crease in her back.
I ran my hands across the serpent's back muscles, kneading them along smoothly. I was no expert masseuse, but I knew a good deal about snakes and how delicate their skin and muscles were. A single scale on a snake's skin is about as sensitive as a human fingertip, and snake Pokemon were likely the same.
Seviper let out some sighs as I worked on her back. At first I thought these were frustrated or sarcastic
groans, but I began to realize that Seviper was contented. I couldn't see her face where I was, but I would bet that she was smiling. I must have been sitting where her lungs were, because I felt the thick, pitch-black body of hers moving up and down as I worked my hands on the sides of her body. It was quite impressive that this curmudgeonly serpent was the same Seviper that A warned me not to piss off.
"Hrrrmm... Could you move a little to the right? Yeah, that's perfect... Whew... Never thought I'd need this so much..." she mumbled as I worked on the indent in her spine.
"I never thought you'd be so open to this, Seviper! I'm glad I paid a visit today!" I said in an attempt to show Seviper how grateful I was to get to hang with her. Honestly, we had more in common than I thought!
It was at that moment when Seviper lifted her head up to my face. I thought she was going to reply in kind, saying how much of a nice person I was or how I wasn't as bad as she thought. However, the reply I recieved was more of something I expected out of Arbok:
"I bet that will feel even better on the inside!"
"Wait a minu-"
My vision went dark before I could finish my sentence. My face was surrounded by a familiar feeling of squishiness. My body could still move, but my head was stuck in place. The pieces fell together in an instant when I heard the swallowing noises.
"Seviper? Are you... eating me?" I asked a bit too calmly for the situation. If you had been in my shoes, however, getting eaten wouldn't seem that out of the ordinary. Milly would do it a lot, but as a form of closeness or friendship. I didn't know what Seviper was doing it to me for.
Once she got to my shoulders, she spoke to me, albiet in a muffled voice on account of her mouth being full, "Thish ish another secret 'etween tha two of ush. Conshider it a bonus, but dohn't you dhare tell anybody!"
I felt myself slip deeper into Seviper's throat, pressing my hands against the side of flesh that squeezed me down. I replied to her previous statement with a joke, "Y'know, if you wanted me to rub your belly from the inside, all you had to do was ask!"
"I prefer to do things at my own pace," she answered, less muffled than before. She probably got around my waist at that point.
It took a few minutes for her to swallow me, but I eventually felt her jaws close behind my feet. The contractions of her throat muscles pulled me in with every gulp she gave. I took the slow process on account of the fact that she was not as long as other snakes I have met before, and it was becoming more obvious as her insides tightened around me. I was far from claustrophobic, though. It felt like being wrapped up in a warm blanket, and the noises of her heart beating kept me at ease.
She topped off her meal with a final gulp, and I descended further into her body, "Glup! Ahh... that was great!"
I was finally deposited into her stomach, which gave me a bit more wiggle room than her throat. Funny how her skin was so rough on the outside, but soft on the inside! "Wow! It's pretty snug in here!"
Seviper gave a relaxed sigh, "Well... For a small fry, you're hard to get around. Took me a bit longer than usual to get around your shoulders."
I felt a sense of irony with Seviper talking about my height, but I decided to drop the retort I had in mind.
"Heh... Now go on doing what you do in there! I don't just let anybody in there, y'know?" she added.
"Heheh! Sure thing, Sev! You won't regret it!" I reassured, pressing my hands into the folds of her stomach. It was pretty amusing to massage the insides of a snake that I normally wouldn't be able to get within ten feet of. I heard various noises elicited from Seviper over the course of the interior massage, ranging from her pleased sighs to the rumbling of her stomach when I would rub certain spots.
"Oooh... I was right. That feels even better than the outside! Wish more of my meals gave me massages like this!"
I heard the door to Seviper's room creak and got nervous for a moment. "Aw great... We're going to have to explain this..."
However, the voice I heard on the other side of Seviper's belly was more reassuring than one of the manor residents finding us. "Well, well! Seems our stern Seviper had a soft spot after all!"
"Milly? Is that you?" I asked, recognizing who it was, "I'm glad it's just you!"
Seviper followed up Milly's jest, "Laugh it up. You were the one who suggested I give it a try."
"And? I trust expectations were delivered upon?"
"Heh. So far, he's doing great! We had a bit of a chat about music beforehand, so that was a bonus."
I interjected, "So you planned to eat me this whole time? Then why did you act so cold towards me at first?"
"Because everybody seems to want me to eat them these days. I wanted to be sure you were legit and not just another 'please vore me!' sap. It's kind of hard to tell sometimes."
"Well, I can't blame you for feeling that way, honestly," I replied, "I can still go for a while with my massaging if you'd like. And... maybe we could talk more about music some time?"
I heard an amused chuckle, "Why not? But you gotta keep this between us. You too, Milly."
My Milotic laughed, "Well, just remember to put Drew back later! I need my human snuggle toy for warmth tonight!” she giggled, poking Seviper’s stomach playfully with a fin.
"Oh, don’t get your coils in a knot! You’ll get him back unharmed. Just gimme some more time to unwind."
Milly stayed in the corner of the room while I finished giving Seviper her massage. She noticed a tape on the ground that Seviper had pulled out earlier. "You don't mind if I listen to this while we wait?" she asked.
"Go right ahead. I was planning on having a listen anyways," Seviper nodded.
Milly recognized the song as the beginning of one of my favorite albums: The Wall. As the opening guitar riffs played, Seviper commented, "You're right Drew. I think I'm gonna like this..."
