Reference sheet by HolyNight~HardDay, on FA. Link Here: (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/hollynight~hardday/ )

This is the reference for a character-three, technically-that I've been meaning to show off for a while now. And, now that the sheet IS finished, I can share the information! Geez, I designed these girls so long ago-I kinda have to remember everything now, don't I?

Bias is a jester, belonging to a species of magically animated automatons known as Manikins. They are flesh and blood, but they start out as a being carved from smooth stone or clay. Only after they reach maturity do they attain biological form.

The process of reaching maturity has nothing to do with their physical nature, and everything to do with their mind and personality. At the beginning of their life, they are energetic, exuberant and joyful-like children, only without the innocence. It is only after they are presented with an extreme trauma, that they develop a melancholic personality-completely opposite their previous persona.

This new personality does not overwrite the previous one-in fact, the two fight and struggle for dominance until they either balance each other out, or else the host body is rendered unusable. In most cases, the juvenile personalities are able to settle their differences within a reasonable period of time, only a few hundred years. But, sometimes it takes... a bit longer.

In the case of Bias, her Joyous side and her Melancholic sides were unable to reconcile-and the constant tension of the warring minds tore her apart, literally. The two sides each became separate entities, somehow bypassing the need to balance themselves together into one whole. And, since each one is entirely composed of their respective emotions-they were able to become flesh, as they contain no conflict.

This trait is completely unique within their species, and that isn't the end of it. In times of incredible stress, they can recombine and shift traits, allowing one to fight uninjured for a time-then, shifting their injuries AGAIN onto another, allowing the formerly injured fighter to resume battling. They can even combine together into their complete form, assuming their minds are in alignment of their goals.

However, this can only be abused so much; and if either of them takes too much damage, they will be unable to join and heal themselves. The same goes for if Bias herself is injured; she will separate once more into her two halves, and require them to heal independently.

That about does it. There's more information to be had, but I'll dispense that when I feel it's necessary-for commissions and such.
