This was an idea I had when I noticed I'd reached 255 items. The classic NES was an 8-bit system, meaning there was 2^8 = 256 values a bit could take. This was reflected in the original Zelda as you could have a max of 255 of certain items, such as Rupees, because the value for them could go from 0-255. This bit of computer science nerdism inspired me to make a Zelda I themed pixel art to celebrate having 256 items. I had an ambitious idea involving animated panels and everything, but that started to take too long to figure out, so I took the good part I had and then wrote out what would have happened underneath. Enjoy!

Yeah, the old 256 limit. Kind of annoying when you hit the limit, since there were quite a few expensive items to get. I think I had to grind a bit for the last few expansions.
