Another vore-ish moment from Herman & Katnip this time circa 1956 in "Will do Mousework".

In this instance Herman falls for the old not paying attention to where you are going gag and gets promptly eaten. And then promptly escapes by usong one of Katnips own spine bones as a battering ram.

I think there were litterally like... two instances in Tom and Jerry, a very similar cartoon to this one, probably inspired by this or the inspiration for this, where Tom actually ate Jerry. Only for Jerry to escape by opening Tom's stomach like a door... or the dog to make Tom spit him out.

Heh. This is the hazard involved with eating *live* prey. They aren't gonna take being swallowed lying down. The vertebra-ram was a great touch.
