At the end of Dragonball Super's Galaxy Survival arc, Android 17 wishes to restore the universes that had been erased.

In one of many innumerable alternate timelines however, that included several of the original universes which were already erased prior to the beginning of the Tournament of Power. Marsa was the God of Destruction in Universe 13 at the time. He spoke out against Grand Zeno's indifference toward the universes, and tried to rally the other gods against his rule. For this, Marsa and those who followed him were made to pay dearly.

Of course, Marsa had his own selfish reasons for wanting to consolidate the powers of multiverse under his leadership. One unique ability of his is that Marsa is not only a God of Destruction, but a devourer of worlds. Able to warp the very fabric of space-time with his awesome power, he could change his own size to swallow planets at once, or alter the capacity of his insides to pick off entire populations without so much as a dent through his doughy abdomen. Furthermore, he absorbs the energy of those he consumes, robbing them not only of their power, but of their techniques, and even their very souls are utterly digested within him until nothing is left.

If he could have removed Grand Zeno from the picture, he would have been free to feast upon the gods themselves with impunity. His erasure and subsequent resurrection had humbled his ambitions, but he's still as voracious as ever...
