Ok I’m not Understanding the gag with the names, maybe I’m just stupid. I thought you were going for a Rudolph the red nose reindeer joke Where all of the winter soldiers were named after the reindeer and the head was named Rudolph or Santa.

All right. I'll do a brief explanation/translation for anyone who wants to know. Anyone who doesn't shouldn't look past here.
Rinnari = Runner = Dasher
Dansari = Dancer
Springari = Leaper = Prancer
Fóa Hind = (female) Fox Deer = Vixen
Hali Stjarna = Tail Star = Comet
Kjærleikr = Dearness=Love = Cupid
Thonar Stormr = Thunder Storm = Donner
Leiptr Stormr = Lightning Storm = Blitzen
Rauð Nǫs = Red Nose = Rudolph
Glaðalf = Glad Elf = Jolly Elf = Santa Clause
Springari was my hardest challenge and biggest stretch of meaning. For those of you who don't know, Donner and Blitzen were named after the Dutch words for thunder and lightning (donder and bliksem). I could have gone with Jólalf = Yule Elf instead of Glaðalf to better fit the theming, but the first thing that came to mind was the jolliness or merriment of Santa Clause. Maybe I'll change her name if I ever get to compiling all these.

The Winter Knights were fun to name, and I imagine that anyone who speaks a language descended from Old Norse probably had an easier time with these names than most.
I'm working on a longer doc, one of those explanatory pieces I occasionally put out, that's all about the names of people, places, and things in my series that have an underlying, multiple, or translatable meaning, but that's probably not going to come out until the end of GAG.

Yeah a few of those names were "logical". Thonar Stormr really wasn't hard at all, since it indeed sounds very similar to both Thunder and Donder, though Leiptr just didn't click. Spingari and Dansari too, are very similar to the dutch&english words (springen, dansen)
Looking back, I hear the similarities when saying it aloud, but I wouldn't have found the names by myself
Great stuff, as always!

I remember having trouble with Leiptr. For some reason, it took me ages to find the Old Norse word for "lightning".
