Three fat, happy, living Mantis Larvae chirped contentedly on the cave floor. Soon they will become pupae, then when the winter turns to spring, they’ll burst forth as fresh, hungry killing machines. Much like humans, the female of the species will hunt for prey, and the males will stay behind in the safety of the caves.
Unlike the humans of the World of Bones, however, the Praying Mantis’ have no natural gender imbalance to drive this social dynamic. Instead of protecting their male mates, females breed with them, and then bite off their heads to make them cum inside them.
This unusual breeding technique has served the Mantids for eons, and so, for as long as humanity has walked the earth, the Female Mantis has feasted upon them, and will continue to for the eons to come.

Man, I always avoided bug/plant vore, only caring about the cannibalism stuff. I see now I've been missing out.
