Too small to physically overpower human-sized prey, Stregaverse badgers display a disturbing ability to set traps. Prey this large, much too dangerous to approach if active, is a tempting prize if incapacitated in some way.

Sometimes one gets a single huge meal through pure luck and never scores another, its poorly thought out strategems not yielding any results.

But sometimes a whole string of disappearances can be traced back to one hungry animal, generally by unearthing coughed-up indigestibles from its prey.

Sometimes the cause of the disappearances is never discovered. People come and go from small towns. Sometimes their departure involves a trip through a badger.

He may not be an alcoholic but he's willing to endure a buzz to get a week's food in one gulp. 83

I have two long term friends who are a cougar and who love seeing paws sticking out respectively, so that bit is sort of a gift to them. 83
