Ayy, drew a big bird mom
Also, a very talented writer who's a friend of a friend wrote a nice story to go along with the pic. (It's Spider8Fiend) Thanks for writing the story dude.
Pearl breathed a deep and heavy sigh. This wasn't how it was supposed to go. She hadn't meant for the situation to spiral so out of control, but here she was in the future, and Pearl was very, very fat.
It all started when Amethyst challenged her to an eating contest. The purple Gem knew how much Pearl hated eating, but she kept goading her anyways. Amethyst had sneered and said, "Come on, P! Live a little! A little food won't kill you, and I'm tired of beating Peridot and Lapis."
Amethyst pointed to the green and blue Gems, who laid on the couch. Both of them looked ready to pop, with girthy bellies stuffed to the gills with food. Peridot was stout with a fat belly that slouched on her meaty thighs, while Lapis was round and smooth like a blueberry. They groaned softly in pain.
"If I never eat another- uuuuurp- doughnut in my life, it'll be too soon," Peridot said. The green Gem's stomach gurgled noisily. Lapis nodded her head and drew small circles across her stomach, trying to ease her stomach ache.
"Agreed. I had too many, ugh, fish tacos," said Lapis. Her stomach sizzled as it slowly but surely shrunk in size. Hiiiiissss, glooooorrrrrpppp... "Why did I ever agree to this?"
"Bunch of sissies," Amethyst said, shaking her head. She prodded Pearl in the chest. "So come on, give it a try! If you win, I'll let you clean my room."
Pearl pursed her lips. That was a mighty tempting offer: it had been years since Pearl had gotten the chance to clean Amethyst's room, and with the purple Gem's hording tendencies, Pearl was positive the room was an absolute pigsty. The means weren't pretty, but the ends were well worth it, so Pearl frowned and gave a reluctant nod.
"Fine!" Pearl said as she stepped up to the breakfast counter, which was overladen with food. "And if you win, you can, I don't know... dump some of your junk in my room?"
"Yes! Score!" Amethyst shapeshifted her hand into a trumpet and brought it to her lips. "Toot toot toot! The Beach City 3rd Annual contest is about to begin!"
What ensued could only be described as a travesty against all good manners. Amethyst and Pearl ate every last scrap of food on the breakfast bar, from the extra-thick cheesy crust pizza, the bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers, and the triple decker five-cheese burgers to the mega-stuffed black bean burritos, the triple-deep fried onion rings, and doughnut tower of dreams. Food of every shape and flavor was devoured without thought or regret, and Pearl was pretty sure she inhaled a pigeon at some point.
Within ten minutes, there was nothing left to eat, and Pearl and Amethyst sat upon the countertop, covered in food stains. When Pearl collected her senses, she was aghast at her unseemly appearance and quickly spot-cleaned away every last stain.
Amethyst chuckled and patted her big belly, which hung past her short legs. It gurgled deep and loud, unafraid to sound as nasty as possible. *GllllluuuUUUUUUURRRRRrrrrrggeeeee, SplllloooOOOOOOSSSSsssshhh..._
"Haha, wow, Pearl! I didn't know you had it in you!" Amethyst said. She swung her feet back and forth, making her swollen belly wobble around. "Guess its a tie, eh? I'd say we're about the same size, if I'm any judge."
"Tie?" Pearl said, looking up from her jacket, which still had some mustards stains on it. "Did you say... a tie?"
"Well, yeah. Check it out."
Shifting in her seat, Amethyst scooted over to Pearl. Much like Amethyst, Pearl's belly was enormous, with her pale skin stretched out like vanilla taffy, yet as fat and fluffy as overheated marshmallows. The stomach gave a soft, polite hiss as it broken down the metric tonne of food Pearl had stuffed into her face. Chuuuuuuuuunnnnnneeeeee....
And, as much as Pearl hated to admit it, her belly was about the same size as Amethyst's stomach. Pearl's lower eyelid twitched suddenly, even as Amethyst barked another laugh and slapped her back.
"Sorry, P! Better luck next time! Ahahaha!"
No. No, this would not stand. Pearl did not degrade herself to lose this childish contest. She did not cast aside centuries of politeness and good manners to be laughed at. And she certainly would not push out all this human junk for nothing. Spinning in her seat, Pearl placed both hands on Amethyst's shoulders, startling the purple Gem. Amethyst stared wide-eyed at Pearl as the orange-haired lunged forward.
"Wait, what? Pearl, no wait don't-!"
Gulp
And here she was, the final victor of the 3rd Annual Something or Another. Pearl pouted as she glared at her fat stomach, which was the size of a comically oversized pumpkin. She dragged her fingers across the orb of fat and gluttony, creating divots in her skin.
"Honestly, Amethyst, this is all your fault," Pearl said, as her stomach acids broke down the last of her friend. Pearl felt a gas bubble rise up in her throat, but she carefully let out a polite urp instead of a nasty wet belch. "If you had just let me eat that last triple-chocolate cake, I would have won and your room would be tidy by now. You really slowed me down. Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
Pearl's stomach just gurgled softly. The purple Gem said nothing.
"Tch, typical," Pearl said, rolling her eyes. "Well, once I'm done digesting, I'll start cleaning your old room. Peridot, Lapis?"
"Yes?" said the two Gems, still lying on the couch in aching pain.
"Since Amethyst will be 'bunking' with me from now on, there's a free room in the temple. Do either of you want it?"
"I'll take it!" Peridot said, raising up a hand. "I sorta miss Steven's bathroom anyways."
"Excellent, glad that's solved. I'll have your new room cleaned up in a jiffy."
Pearl let out another soft urp and fanned away the gastric air cloud left in its wake. A purple light glowed in the center of Pearl's chest, and after a moment, a purple gem emerged from her skin. Deep inside the gem, there was a shadowy figure with the familiar form of Amethyst. The tiny Amethyst stared around her surroundings, and realizing what happened, she started banging against the walls of her crystalline prison. Pearl poked her new purple gem and frowned.
"Oh hush up, Amethyst. I won't keep you trapped in there forever, just the next century or two. In the meantime, maybe this will teach you a lesson: never, and I mean never, make me settle for a 'tie.'"
