Bulma had heard tale of one of her competitors working on on a hair growth formula, so she felt a little bit of corporate espionage wouldn't hurt, she had the formula stolen and she made her own version of it, but in the lab she had an accident, spilling the formula on herself,

her body guards ran to her, only to be met with the sudden growth of her living afro, and just like Nikki before her, it lashed out, absorbing the guards into it's hairy mass, bulma was shocked at first and wanted her afro the get those people out, but in a matter of seconds, her afro affected her mind, making her want to absorb more and more people to feed it's hunger, and that is exactly what it did,

relishing in the feeling of the struggling people inside her hair, she continued to assimilate more and more unfortunate victims into her hair
