Basically, Airy has managed to convince the naïve Agnes that eating her party members and friends was the only way for her to awaken the crystals. Awakening them drives the story forward and they're very important to Agnes, so Airy simply took advantage of that. Agnes had a quite hefty meal of Tiz, Edea, Zatz, Datz, and the Proprietress, with Datz taking up most of her belly. Airy just casually swallowed Ringabel whole despite the sheer size difference with her victim.
