I like to swim against the current lol also I find her personality more suitable for the kind of preds I like, Velvet is too straight forward for me and Magilou is crazy enough to actually enjoy doing something like this if she could (I think she even mention it in the game but I don't remember)

Yeah, poor Velvet doesn't get to enjoy much. I haven't seen that clip, but I'm sure Magilou's interrogated Velvet about what it's like to eat people at some point.

Well, she can taste blood. Seems like she can also taste it when she consumes with her arm, since we never see her bite into someone.
A lot of bad stuff happened to that girl, but in the vore community there's a noteworthiness to a pred who can consume anything not being able to enjoy a meal.
