Sorry if I came of as rude.
Don't get me wrong, I like the art, I simply react like that when seeing hypocrisy and entitlement from whom is supposed to be the protagonist.
It's the same reason I don't like characters like the Punisher; a person that out of a personal grudge/vendetta views themselves as an authority on right and wrong, having the right to decide where the line goes and how severe of a punishment is justified.

You were not rude. Like I answered above, there are two discussions: one is if it is justified for a man or woman to harass Gabi because of her clothes, which I disagree. The other is how Gabi reacts to this harassment, and I do think it's way disproportinate. I think people often mix those things up and say "she shouldn't eat him just because he touched her boobs, after all look how she's dressed".

And about Gabi's character and how you think she's a hypocrate, I think that's the interesting thing on her personality. She's complex.

I will say no how someone is dressed does not give them the right to touch her of course but she has eaten people for less.... Like even looking for too long or a simple spitball
I have to wonder though complex as gabi is... If someone she couldnt silence ever actulally asked her some hard questions about herself how she might answer... Somehow her petty reasons for eating innocent people bother me more than simple hunger or just being an evil bitch like Jill

if it bothers you, than I feel like I did my job. I love easy characters, of course, but I like more those interesting and complex characters. They are more fun to write. All this discussion made me very proud!

Yeah fair, still it seems like its the same most the time she never really learns or changes i think shes numb to the pain she causes
As an honest critique it seems there is potential to explore her more but as it stands its a bit stagnant in how things play out...
Since she has more of a living world her actions seem more heinous than comical to me, like more loose cannons take off the edge a bit
I know its just my own hang ups and opinion and its your character but either way i love hpw open you are to these discissions ive had other creators just tell me to shut up and dont think about it

Well, I don't know what reaction she would have if a woman did what the man did, if she knew she was a married woman.

Also, not all woman are the same. There could be a woman similar to Gabi who would like having money stuffed in her boobs by that same man.

But still, I never thought ppl would take the absurdity (Vore) of the situation so seriously.

I will say this Gabi is refction of the artist and viewer of how conflicting the world of vore is.

The brutality of Gabi pisses me and most people off not really due to her actions, but due to her cognitive dissonance. "Either be a good person and stand by your moral, or fully accept the fact that you are a cold-blooded murderer". But Gabi's mentality is like an old balding man shaping up his hairline, even though he only has around a quarter of hair left, like bruh just shave it off. She is holding onto her humanity by justifying her brutal acts.

However, this is exactly the type of dilemma that makes a character intense. Aside from that, what makes people even more mad is her pathetic attempt at feeling remorse and guilt which she uses in order to emulate humanity. This is one of the many reason why the reader is unable to relate to gabi and is forced to relate to the victim, no matter what type of "harassment" they take part in. This may be one of the many reasons why the "prey readers" find it easier to relate to the victims of gabi more easily and more vividly due to her intense and incomprehensible nature, which by proxy adds to the success of the story.

Expectations: By the end of the Gabi-series, a brutal painful realisation, i.e "Gabi's moment of anagnorisis" would definitely be the most satisfying ending to her character. She would remain a broken character and her punishment for her sins being her inability to find redemption.

Despite my utter distaste for Gabi as a person, she is one of my favourite and one of the most iconic character in this entire website. Gabi may not be a good character, but is definitely well written. I will continue observing this gem of a character and her future developments.

Thank you for your comment. I like all types of preds, but I see Gabi as a different one. I think most people get mad on what they were expecting Gabi to be: an innocent, always do the right thing type of character. Initially, her stories were more focused on her relationship with Emily, a total evil psycho that feels no remorse with the death of others. So Gabi was always the reasonable, worried and regretful one. It is a great dynamic and I love doing that. But as I stepped away from Gabi and Emily relationship and started to explore other aspects of Gabi's life, like her relationship with Lily or how she deals with her problems when Emily is not around, people saw how hypocrate she was sometimes. It was intentional from my part. But some people went from loving her to hating her really fast. I think she's complex - she's not Emily at all, but I can't deny she has a loose sense of moral, to say the least.

For most people that don't like this "new" Gabi (I don't think she's new, she's the same Gabi from a different perspective), I say:

First, try to put yourself in her place. You're a gorgeous girl with boobs that don't fit any clothes properly. You are constantly being harrassed by men and women that see you as an object. You work hard, you're the best in class, you're super smart and yet society sees you as a piece of meat.

Then, imagine that you were raised eating people every week. You were born with this "gift" and your parents didn't know what to do, so you spent most of your childhood eating people without questioning if it was ok or not.

So yeah, probably you wouldn't be so different from Gabi.

A lot of people have that problem with society, they typically don't even consider the mass-murder of people objectifying them unless they were already a psycopath.

She doesn't 'deal' with her problems because she barely seems to view them as problems at all. In fact, the last image in this one shows quite well that she views eating people with the same mindset as a domestic abuser views his wife 'forcing' him to beat her.

Overall, Gabi comes across as a psycopath who has at least some self-awareness but seems to lack the willpower to actually do anything about it. Since she's usually portrayed as openly enjoying it and often eager for any excuse, no matter how flimsy, also suggests she enjoys it too much to have any interest in doing anything and is very close to fully embracing what she is, becoming no different from Emily.

The real problem is you seem to focus mostly on her dark side (mass-murder, love of eating people, extremely myopic and hypocritical views, ect) while any 'conflict' she has barely gets any attention by comparison (even then, it's usually just a passing mention that she seems to forget by the next panel).

In short, you went too far on the flaws and forgot to balance them out effectivly. So what we have as a result is an unrepentant and extremely petty mass-murdering villain who gets away with everything she does and has no reason to try to fix her flaws as she never faces punishment for what she does. Not help by the fact that the only authority figures who could do anything seem to have long-since given up and instead chose to just indulge her by feeding people to her on a semi-regular basis, instead of trying to fix the problem now that she's old enough to know better.
