Same. To my recollection Gabi used to be a character that regretted killing to cover up her tracks and would avoid it if possible. Her character has went in a direction where she kills when it is unnecessary or is convenient. This wouldn't be a problem if her character wasn't still perceived in a more positive light.

She's kind of turned into someone who doesn't regret it at all, rarely thinking of any aftermath and casually eating just to eat now. A character once having development now in the normal "world where eating people has no consequences" vore scenario. --- Which is fine since it's fiction and creator's vision etc. I guess but still.

One thing I'd like to point out, and maybe most of the people missed, is Gabi's relationship with Emily. Since Emily is truly a psychopath, Gabi tries to be a role model to her. When Emily is not around, Gabi likes to... let go from those responsibilities. That's why, when she's alone, she has different stories than when she's with Emily.

Gabi enjoys eating people. It's her guilt pleasure. She just tries her max not to because she's afraid that Emily could, in the future, eat people and end up as a murdering machine.

That's a bit odd-- Again it's up to you how they act and what the story is, feel free to enjoy what you like however you want. It's hot too, but also intriguing instead of just a hot thing.

It just seems odd that Gabi would be against Emily turning out to be a murderer but she's fine murdering people herself? I guess the "Don't end up like me" scenario is at play in that case, but it still gives me the shivers to think that she has no restraint on just mass-murder, plus with how well you portray the victims being scared.

You need to understand that, because of how Gabi was raised by her parents, her morals are different from what you would expect from a normal person. Remember that, to control her appetite, Gabi used to eat a person at least once per week since she was 7 yo. So, she is kind of ok about eating people now and then.

Emily is a whole different thing. She loves vore, she would be unstoppable and would eat people like nothing everyday. That's what Gabi is trying to evade.

Yeah, I get that a little too, but I don’t think it’s something we’re intended to take seriously. I’m pretty sure the whole “not my fault” thing is just a joke. Gabi has always been “Oh, you touched my butt? Guess everyone here has to die now!” and I’m pretty sure that’s just the dark sense of humor Kattu intended.

Still, I keep having to deliberately remind myself that it’s all just dark humor and fetishes, and that i’m not supposed to think too deeply about it.

It's not so much that I'm taking it too seriously I think, it's more just that the specific attitude is kind of a turn off. If she were to lean more heavily in one direction or another I think I'd enjoy it more.

If she were guilt stricken but felt like she absolutely needed to kill everyone to preserve her freedom, that's sorta attractive. CratedCheese's Eve character behaves like that and I quite enjoy her.

Or if she was 100% apathetic and only saw people as objects, then that would also be attractive. I'm a fan of objectification in vore (not in real life).

But this middle of the road stuff where she justifies her behavior as the fault of others forces me to confront her nature for some reason.

I can only speak for myself, and I'm sure plenty of people are happy with the way she is, but this how I see it.

Actually, I feel the same way. I like Gabi, but I’m not a huge fan of her for that very reason. The “middle of the road stuff” makes it harder for me to enjoy her as well. I generally prefer either “good” preds that only eat people who really deserve to die, apathetic preds who have no moral inhibitions about eating people, or outright sadistic preds who know perfectly well how evil they are.

Interestingly, the “Gabi vs Jill” comics acknowledge that somewhat. Jill points out how silly it is that Gabi tries to justify her actions but doesn’t appear to be as guilty about it as she claims she is. Jill, the totally sadistic pred, points out that Gabi isn’t really much different than herself. I think I’d like to see Gabi’s interactions with Jill push her either one way or the other, either doping her attempts to justify herself or or making a more genuine effort not to eat innocent people.

Read my answer to TheMystique up there, but what most people forget is that Gabi was raised eating people every week since she was 7 yo. You can't turn into a "normal" human being like that. So we have to try to see things through her logic. Only after 13, 14 yo that she started to question her morals and the consequences of her actions, and even then everything was confusing to her. You can see this comic as showing Gabi's old habits of dealing with her problems her old way, eating them. This happens because she gets nervous and don't know what to do in situations where she's being harassed (which I can affirm you, is a difficult situation to every girl).

Gabi is not perfect, but she really tries to be better. But her "better" is different from what you would expect because of her baggage. Eve is a cute and fun character and I like her a lot, but you have to analyses them in different ways because (as far as I'm concern) we don't see Eve's past to understand why she's that way. We know everything that happened with Gabi.

I'm not saying it isn't a valid way for a fictional character to behave. Just explaining my own reasons for personally not finding it appealing. As an artist you should not have to explain or justify your legitimate character choices. I didn't realize my comment would morph into crazy long discussion on her morality, so I apologize for that.

I probably wouldn't be having these thoughts if she was only going after the one bastard who instigated the whole mess, because yes I agree, sexual harassment and sexual assault are crimes worthy of death, especially in a vore comic.

I also like how you use the other characters surrounding Gabi as forces that pull her in different directions. Her parents are supportive of her without reproach, which gives her a foundation to know comfort even when she relents to her hunger. Emily is the darkness that gives her opportunities to exercise that hunger. Lily is the moralizing voice that cuts across her hunger for Gabi's own sake.

That's why bringing the Jill and Samantha storyline in is also nifty. I view them as insights to view what dealing with young Gabi's was somewhat like (in Samantha) and what Gabi could become without morality constantly being reinforced (in Jill).

I particularly loved Gunung because it was the longest view into an unrestrained Gabi—one where she had a favorable excuse ("the villagers *must* not be real, it's a game"), a plot that interfered with Lily's ability to rein her in, and an uncivilized jungle for her to exercise her dominant powers.

I'll answer everyone in this discussion in this reply. I try to create several scenarios to explore with Gabi, not restricting me to work on a specific thing because of my previous stories. Even though people like to see Gabi in a continuos, evolving character arc, sometimes I just want to have fun and explore a quick situation with her. This is one of those situations.

I'm still going to create stories where Gabi retains her personality, but won't stop creating one-offs like this one or the subway vore.

Thank you. No one is flawless, and Gabi is no different. People expect one thing of her and get disappointed when she doesn't reach their expectations. But maybe we all should look to ourselves and ask "Am I perfect? What are my faults?"

Plus, if we all were Gabi - if we had the power to eat and digest people whole - would we be that much different? Would we be this super sadistic murdering machine? Would we be this flawless, fair angel? Or would we slip here and then and eat a few people just because?

If we can forgive Gabi for who she is, we can forgive ourselves.

Again, i'll say this again; he's NOT innocent, he was rude so he most definately carry some of it himself, but he did not ask her to eat him, nobody forced her to eat the other people, nobody forced her to kill them. A simple slap or punch to the face would have been enough, and she could have walked away after that, and nobody would have been dead.

I might be overthinking this, but given the scenario, i just don't think the others deserved this. I'm not a big fan of crying prey who's innocent and very clearly portrayed as people getting killed for seemingly no good or stupid reason.

It's ok if you don't like this type of vore. I do like it, yes, and that's why it's a major part of my work. And I agree that eating them is too much. But I don't agree that we should see it like it was her fault because of how she was dressed or the way she leaned and so on. You didn't say that in your previous comment, that's why I asked you why you were saying it was her fault.

I didn't mention ANY of those things, nothing about clothing or how she moved, so you can't use that, you said it not me.
I'm not that petty to think like that, and maybe it's just because i'm tired as of typing this, and thus not really thinking completely clearly, but when i read that, it kinda felt like you just made assumptions in order to have some sort of comeback at me.
Again i said; it wasn't COMPLETELY her fault, it was the dude's to as he was being rude, i just said it was majorly her's since this is kinda like if someone says something to another person and then the other person pulls out a gun and shoots them, and in this case everyone else in the building.

Howdy...pretty sure this is a common complaint so I'll start off with the Pros.

I like the charecter Gabi and I think she is compelling. The art is top noch. I even purchased a few comics~

Yet her calvilier attitude toward vore can be a bit...unnerving. I've been thinking about it and perhaps it's because the victems are seen begging in such viseral reactions that get me.

Perhaps it's Gabi's genuinely "nice" nature mixed with the paradoxical nature of being a pred.

I think Gabi perhaps taking time to "thank" her meals. Perhaps some kind of kind gesture like leaving a rose at an unmarked grave (if I were being melodramatic)

Or even something like going on a diet for a week, just to show that she does "think" about them.

However you are the creator and such decisions are up to you. This is simply a gesture I think could add a bit more...humanity to her charecter.

(ps. these are considerations I'm considering for my own charecters as well so I plan to practice what I talk)
