Hhhhh..
Where do I begin? Well, to start this is all I'm doing for Halloween this year and I'm not happy with it; Not the girl or even the image actually, more that this is all I can do and it pisses me off.
I've bunked it into my Quick Draws category because I don't think it's up to the quality that it could have been but a mixture of my episodic Depression and constant Art Blocks are to blame for that. The Right panel was drawn when I had fuel and was working on Rin, the name of the Wight seen here.
Initially I planned on doing a Comic page as a sequence, and the Right was her initial entrance having digested her previous raiders allowing her into the form she has here. Her dialogue references her biggest character plotline, in that if she doesn't feed her age regresses to a young girl whom she formerly died as. In this kinda 'Loli' form she can't actually swallow people and requires her Ghosts to bring her their ectoplasm so she can absorb it and return to her predatory form.. Everything was great, I had a plan, a character I was invested in but then... Well, that was too fucking easy wasn't it?
So now we have this mediocrity. But it's the best of a bad situation, because it was either this or nothing for Halloween.
As for Rin, I do plan on giving her justice for this and will hopefully give her a proper sequence likely next year.
At least it reflects how shit 2020 has been, so it's thematically accurate I guess.

At least you were able to do that. That is impressive in itself, and i think the drawing itself is really impressive =)

Please don't feel bad over getting the smackdown from Artblock and depression... I've had more than one story I was writing die completely because of that nonsense, but when the fire is gone... best to just allow the embers to continue smoldering in the back corner of your mind and do things to make you happy, so that when the thought crosses your mind to go back and give it another go, you can go back with a smile :)
In all seriousness, at least you DID something for halloween... I've been missing out on holidays for years now and not only because I've have lost the drive to write things for them.... work has a way of preventing any artist/writer from getting anything productive done. Not to mention that 2020 has just been a shit year as it stands, but I hope that things get better and that you'll feel better come the new year :D

I have a hard time at the best of times doing anything that has a time limit so it's luck of the draw as to whether I do anything for special ocassions to begin with.
I've done nothing but spend the past couple of days gaming so the fuel is slowly returning~
