This pair of adventurers was foolish enough to go looking for a Sphinx’s treasure without bringing anyone with skill at riddle games. Maybe the next ones will be better prepared.
Guided by an ancient map promising “The Treasures of the Sphinx”, many adventurers find their way to her lair, only to discover that the Sphinx still stands guard over the vast treasure inside. Those who can answer her riddles may leave with all the treasure that they can carry, but those who cannot answer become part of her hoard, and of her! Come see just what she does with this band of adventurers!

So...what's the riddle? :D

I’m afraid we came in too late to hear what she asks these two, but you’ll get to see examples later. She picks a riddle for each adventurer.

I love the novel idea of her trapping her prey into and egg and then un-laying(?) it. Something was off a bit on this page and I think it's the pacing: between the first two panels we skip over the "main event" of the egg actually disappearing inside, and too much time has passed: we're in a different pose and camera angle.
Great concept and can't wait to see more.

Thanks! I think you’re right about this scene being rushed a little too much - there’s a lot in this story, and the “un-laying” scene was a late addition when we were already over our target page count.

Now that I've seen the next page - the pacing makes sense. The disappearances happen quickly so we can get a bigger sense of the story.
