Bernadetta just wants to keep warm in her cozy little cabin, alone with no one to bother her peace & quiet… if only she were allowed that one simple boon but what starts out as unfortunate events for the social recluse upon the much louder Hilda requesting entry to her cabin very quickly turns into something… bizarrely fortunate…

& here's the little story I was hoping to have ready on Christmas Day… but hey, it’s here now so no need to worry over the little things! It should’ve been obvious that the moment a Winter alt for Bernie was revealed, I was going to write a story for her - it was an inevitability.

I think this is the first time I’ve done a mix of both willing & unwilling prey in a single story, as well as it being the first time I’ve even written unwilling prey in quite some time - poor Hilda, not wanting to accept that Bernie was just trying to help her. X3 That extra scene at the end wasn't originally part of the final build as I originally intended it to end rather ambiguously, let people think on what happened next once the professor arrived but I ditched it in favour of a more fitting ending with Hilda complaining & Bernie trying to handle a literal food baby. x3

Also this is my first Three Houses story that isn't completely focused on Byleth & a student, granted he is in this story but it's definitely more focused on Bernie & Hilda!

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy reading this as much as I had fun writing it~! Bernie’s always fun to write, adorable little shut-in & I’m sure someday, I’ll write something post-timeskip for her - surprised I haven't yet but maybe sometime next year.
