When Europe's perfect prosecutor, Franziska von Karma, finally arrives in America, the justice system gets turned on its head with her...particular style of operating.
This is, once again, a collaborative effort with EmblemMan ! I'm so happy we did this, been something we were working on for like...a month at least? But honestly, as much as I like Ace Attorney, and Franziska specifically, this was my first real time actually writing anything serious with her, or the series. So I was pretty nervous the whole time we did this, constantly doubting whether what I was doing was good enough...so I just hope it turned out alright in the end.
Seriously though, I cannot thank EmblemMan enough for helping bring this thing to life with me, and tackling Maya and Adrian while I got a crack at ol' Fran. He's pretty awesome, and he puts up with my shenanigans, which means a lot. So, yknow, check 'em out! Give him some love, the dude deserves it. If you don't, I have a video of a guinea pig bonking another on the head on standby.
And to anyone who says Franziska and Maya make a good couple, I AGREE - just...Maya also makes a compelling case to be lunch..
On a personal note though, uh, I've been working on a couple of things, and honestly, like...I'm just kinda writing what I want, when I feel like it, so I've been sorta bouncing between them all, writing bits at a time. I honestly didn't have a lot of energy for about...a week at least, so, yeah. I don't know what's gonna be next, it could be like, one of three things.
I won't say WHAT they are, but I'm still excited for them. No matter what has happened in the past few days, writing is still my passion, and I won't let a few rotten eggs ruin it for me.

She does know that as soon as she loses her case, she's gonna end up on death row for killing an innocent right?
Like I'm sure she has never won a single case against Phoenix nor has any other prosecutor for that matter and it's not for the reasons she thinks.
The whole point of Ace Attorney is that the arrogant, self-righteous prosecutor is supposed to not just lose but be utterly humiliated for stupidly underestimating Wright's skill as an attorney; that's why Edgeworth was replaced after the first game to avoid destroying his reputation as a prosecutor with endless failure.

This is a really fantastic story! I love the interaction between characters, and how well you nailed Maya’s carefree gluttonous attitude, this is definitely a favorite story of mine now!

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you appreciate the interactions - I tried to emphasize Maya's goofy, gluttonous side in particular here.

Good god, that Franziska. You may have just made that prosecutor my favourite "evil pred" of yours yet.
Initially I was a bit puzzled with Adrian becoming attracted to Franz here, but it grew on me

As for a concrete, "canonical" answer, I don't know if it was brought up during the writing process? If it was...I don't remember, it's just been so long. It could have been the intention at the time, but with how things currently stand, it's up to interpretation. The pair of magatamas could be Maya and Pearl's, Maya and Misty's, so on and so forth.
Personally, I think there's definitely a chance of that being the case, but I also see some potential in what Franziska could do when taking Pearl under her wing and being a mentor figure in place of Maya. Sort of twisting her ideals and using her talents to be more fitting, and useful, for the von Karma style of justice.

Well, I definitely have been wanting to get back to doing some Ace Attorney stuff for...quite a while, so maybe if I do, that can be considered!
