Dr. Artemis Knight finds herself captured by an unknown enemy who wants to use her powers of uteromancy... or if she can't, she'll make sure nobody else can. Can Dr. Artemis escape using nothing but what's between her legs?

Criticisms welcome.

Oh this was one of the best story I have read for a while.

Another very nice addition to this series. I like the term “uteromancy”, and the demonstration of why one shouldn’t threaten a wizard of any sort, regardless of her specialty.

Thank you! I was concerned about using the word, in case somebody else had already coined it, but I think I'm safe.
I wanted to explore the darker side of Artemis and her capabilities, and give a small bit of insight into what drives her. I think it worked out. :)

As far as I know, you’re the first one to come up with that term. Not that there’s anything wrong with using a term someone else came up with - after all, someone had to come up with “unbirth” and “vore” way back when. (I vaguely remember those gaining common use, it made searching for this stuff so much easier.)

And it’s good to have some idea of how your character can do what they do in an ongoing series, and magic is useful for these things that should be impossible otherwise. Personally, while there’s yet to be a time when it’s relevant to the plot, I’ve got a vague thought that my Prof. Smith is either the incarnation of or a high priestess of a fertility goddess who has found an unusual way to stay relevant in the modern science-centered world.

If anyone would know, I dare say you would. :P

I very much like that take on Prof. Smith! I've been trying to keep the question of whether Dr. Artemis's powers are magic or science quite vague; after all, as they say, sufficiently advanced science is indistinguishable from magic...

Honestly, given the more than one snippet. Can't help but want to see a biological 'inside ovary' snippet, or side story on the doctor's 'patients'. Or more specifically, the trapped and the damned, who might be kept inside her "for eternity"... Along with the new 'passengers/prisoners', as much as the departed/future children.

This may happen; I like some continuity in my stories, as you may have seen with Alicia (and the Morgan shout-out at the start of this story). I'll take your suggestions on board. :D
