Some mornings you wake up trying to remember what you ate the night before. It's especially troubling when you wonder if that meal was a person.

Running around as a snack-sized rat might make people not see you, and you're much too tough for an alley cat to handle, but you can run into real problems around preds big enough to swallow a rat whole.

Ignatz just got super unlucky. 99 times out of a hundred his Were powers would get him out of a situation like this. Sadly he rolled 00 and only got out of after a trip through a badger.

Thank you. I started this story three times before deciding that it was better to jump right to the action rather than showing Bartleby going through his daily routine first.
