The red yoshi, one of the few of the original 8 surviving so far, tires out as he heads into parts unknown of the island on his quest to make it home and warn the others. He's rather grateful to come across a residence of some kind, and even happier to find out that the host -- none other than Birdo herself -- has all the food and care in the world to spare for the exhausted red dino. The yoshi's luck is seemingly back as he's given all the food, and some extra attention from Birdo, as a means of recuperation.

Of course, Birdo has more on her mind than simply sating the needs of the plump, delectable-looking yoshi, and plans a feast for herself once the unsuspecting yoshi is at his most vulnerable!
