I’ve seen that happen before, actually. The harem fantasy anime Monster Musume had this one guy who posed as a nature documenter so he could film the bird character Papi laying an egg, when really he just has an egg laying fetish and wanted some fap material.

I think it’d be better to go for a new character than creating a whole separate alt universe for Bryant and Gabi. I agree though, Gab’s deserves a loving and understanding partner who allows her to feel safe and comfortable, and allows her to relax and enjoy herself some more.

SPOILER WARNING:
Never before has a porn comic shook me to the core as this one. While the act of devouring a person is not portrayed in an anymore gruesome manner than most in this comic, the development and interactions between the characters and the in-world implications of it truly set this apart from what I have seen in my tenure as a degenerate.
In most vore comics I have read I have seen a pattern. The author pays minimal time to the victim and leaves little to address the moral implication of the protagonist’s actions, that is very much the opposite case here. For comparison I will use AdjectiveNounCombo’s “Baby Fat” series as it has a world that operates under similar rules to this one, but creates a drastically different tone through the use of its characters.
In the case of the victim, in the “Baby Fat” series, Zoey Dardana swallows people whole, just as Gabi from this comic does. In that series very little time spent on the victim. The prey usually appears in a panel just before they are eaten to establish them as a nuisance or of little consequence. Once devoured, they are given a panel to express their horror or displeasure with the situation and are largely ignored.
In this comic however not only is one of the main characters a victim of the protagonist, but the minor victims are expounded upon with realistic terror. Prof. Sanji is a tragic figure not only in the dramatic sense, but also in the “OH GOD GEORGE RR MARTIN! WHY ARE YOU KILLING MY FAVORITE CHARACTER AGAIN?!?!” sense. He is given the necessary time not only develop as a well-defined, charming character, but also enough for the audience to grow an attachment to him. This leads to him meeting his untimely end as a victim of a wacky misunderstanding and reduced to boob fat. And promptly my heart sank…
The other victims hold similar. While they are not given enough time to display individualizing character traits, other than their unbridled terror at being swallowed alive by a kawaii anime girl, their characters are explored through their unbridled terror at being swallowed alive by a kawaii anime girl. They are given ample panel space to show realistic horror through their tears and pleas that fall on deaf ears. While it is not much, it more than is generally shown and leaves much more of an impact than if they were ignored.
In terms of the handling of the moral implications of the protagonist and vore in general, “Baby Fat” largely ignores it while the “Fun in…” series explores this with its morally gray cast. In regard to “Baby Fat” I will only address Zoey as the other preds from that continuity act in a similar manner to her.
Zoey, and largely the universe itself, is amoral when it comes to vore. When Zoey eats someone, it is not lingered upon, the victim comes into contact with her, she eats them, she goes on her way with a stretched-out stomach to continue her adventure. The comic lets the audience enjoy the act of her eating someone and her resulting distended belly, but moves fast enough that they are not given enough time to linger on the victim. Zoey… is also kind of a bitch. When she eats someone, she does so in a domineering fashion and rarely finds a need justify her actions or feel conflicted in general. With this indifferent attitude and a world that largely ignores her absent morality, it is easier for the reader to disassociate with the loss of innocent life and focus on how hawt the whole thing is. It ignores facts that may be morally displeasing for the audience by having the characters “own it” completely. As all the viewpoint characters accept vore in a casual fashion, the audience also views it as a casual, sensual experience for all those outside Zoey’s squirming stomach. In essence, the act becomes so unrealistic that the audience can largely overlook the larger implications of Zoey’s actions.
In contrast, Gabi is shown to have some sense of morality as she reacts in different ways depending on the circumstance she finds herself in. In this three-part comic alone, she displays pleasure at eating an innocent pizza delivery boy, guilt at eating multiple groups of her friends, and spite at an RA performing a routine room inspection. Unlike Zoey, Gabi has a large array of emotions and categorizes people, placing varying amounts of moral responsibility on her. Gabi is shown the be very warm and bubbly, overreactive yet charming, but also cold and a hypocrite. She can be completely fine one minute, and the next overreact to a small stimulus and digest an entire room of completely innocent people. Instead of at least owning up to it, whether by taking responsibility or taking pride in the process, she puts the blame on others and constantly makes herself the victim. The lives of others are a hierarchy where a pizza boy can be eaten like a cookie with little thought, but a classmate is a tragedy because they fall under her sphere of influence. In the end though by they time she has slimmed down she seems to hold no real guilt and they are just another story for Emily. In a way she reminds me of Gon Freecss from Hunter x Hunter. The emotional resonance of the harm of others largely depends on how close you are to her sphere of influence. I have nothing to back this up, but even the guilt she displays may not be genuine. Instead, it may be her fear of the consequences that come with her being discovered as she is shown to be terrified when she has a squirming gut full of hapless prey, but largely gets over this once the “evidence” is gone. In her mind she tries to justify her actions as to lessen the blame she can put on herself and sustain her status as a good person. Because of how her attitude changes so drastically from being guilt ridden to cheery after eating someone, it makes her seem even more morally repugnant than Zoey. In essence, she is humanized to the extent that is hard for the audience to overlook how morbid her acts are, and her victim complex makes her seem like even worse a person and harder to root for. She is a typical adolescent, if one were to grow up seeing her own species as a bite-sized snack.
To summarize, “Baby Fat” is “Disney Evil.” The protagonist plays up and owns how bad she is. The ramifications of her actions are largely ignored because it would turn off the audience from cheering her on. “Fun in…” is a more realistic take on what a secret pred among us might be like. We are shown in detail how the mind of a morally fluid teenage girl may justify eating innocent people and what mental gymnastics she has to perform to keep herself on the moral high ground. Victims are shown in panic, disappearances are reported, people react to the goings on around them. This world is alive and scary, any minute an emotionally unbalanced teenager may eat you alive. People may come looking for you, but you know that if they do, they will simply meet the same end.


I do not want you to think this is me attacking your comics. I in fact really enjoy them. While what I said may sound like critiques, your characters have depth with lots of good qualities and realistic flaws for the setting. While this was a dark mirror to look into, I am glad I did. This was not only a good wank, but a good piece of fiction in general. I wrote this long synopsis mostly to get some closure as this comic had me messed up all day. Hopefully I can find peace and have a guilt free NUT without thinking about Prof. Sanji and the pizza man because dammit, PIZZA DELIVERY MEN ARE PEOPLE TOO AND I DON’T CARE WHAT THE BIG TIDDY VORE GF SAYS!

Thank you very much for your comments! I agree with you: Gabi is a pred different from most others on this site. And the change in perspective, focusing on the prey, gives a more special touch to this dynamic. The first story where I gave this focus was Fun in Hotel and I fell in love with that style, and I've been trying to reproduce it ever since. I understand that this doesn't fit with all preds: I also like simple stories where we see a hot girl gobbling up some people recklessly. But the change of perspective for the prey and a pred that has a number of conflicting feelings about the fact that she swallows people has proved to be something very interesting to approach.

Comments like hers are things that motivate me to continue creating content around here. Doing something outside the box, which causes this kind of impact on people, makes me extremely happy!

I apologize, the addendum to my first post wasn't clear on what I wanted to get across. This post was not supposed to be a criticism of the story and characters itself, but an unbiased look at how different tones can be created through the use of character and perspective. I only drew comparison between the two properties to help illustrate my points.

This post is really weird considering the comments you probably get have nothing to do with story writing in general, but it made me think about a fetish that I have always accepted and I wanted to write about what made it so impactful.

In terms of a writing exercise, this was a fascinating subject to think about. Keep up the great work!
