Reaction 1: Ah, so "Carrion" but it likes to look like a shark. Reaction 2: I misread "Goo is slightly viscous" as "God is slightly viscous", and boggled at the theological ramifications.

Ah so the eyes are vestigial and it sees by doing that tentacle waving?
it doesn't really "see" at all, it perceives reality on a different plane. the eye holes are just decoration.
