My brain came up with a smidgen of dialogue for this out of absolutely nowhere.
"...aw kibbles and bits... I ate someone I wanted to hug again, didn't I?"
(I know that's probably not very in-character for her, but I just thought it might be kinda fun to come up with something.)

She acts a bit dumber than she is; it's sort of a 'she's smart but lacks common sense' sort of deal. But people underestimate her all the time, and then this happens.
