*fun fact: a building near me had this exact thing happen to the tenants and within two weeks of everyone getting out, the entire fuckign side of the building fell OFF because the landlord kept declaring bankruptcy every time they tried to inspect the building cause there was a loophole to prevent the town from inspecting/fining landlords who declared bankruptcy. like it definitely wouldve killed someone if no one noticed the bricks literally crumbling off the side. and its been like two years and the building is still there like fucking slowly collapsing into the street and an actual safety hazard because he refuses to let the town demolish it so theyre in lengthy court processes
