A group of adventurers bite off more than they can chew when they sign up to enter a Master Dungeon. Unlike the lower levels where you could be revived after a loss, if a teammate falls to a monster in this dungeon they have a chance of losing their life permentantly.
Gail waits with an empty belly as they attack her, humoring them by pretending their weak swords and spells actually hurt her. But the amusement wears off soon enough, and the team is quick to realize their mistake as the first of their team disappears down her throat...

Well written, although I think that the story might be slightly more dramatic if the predator didn't seem so completely invincible to every possible inconvenience.

the point was that she IS basically invincible except to the absolutely most strongest of parties. Usually she holds back with a power limiter, but this party took on the master level challenge where she goes full out. The crew here had 0 chance of beating her because they were completely unprepared and in way over there heads attempting to challenge her at master level.

I love the part where the last awake prey crawls to her party members to sleep together because her last thought was to be close to her friends.
If Gail was aware of that what would her reaction be.
