Now, you're probably thinking, " ZeldaNoVorsu, that's an interesting title. Where did you come up with it?" And I'd like to say that it was my own original idea, but it's actually the title Nintendo themselves gave one of their trailers for Skyward Sword HD. I thought it was fitting for this chapter, however.
At last, the long awaited reunion between Link and Zelda has arrived. She has much to tell her friend since the last time they saw each other, but unfortunately, because this isn't the final chapter, the reunion ends too soon and bittersweetly. However, Link now has the final goal of his quest laid out before him. He will do whatever it takes to succeed...
A week between canon entries feels much more reasonable, don't you think? Man, the ending of that reunion scene in the game wrecks you. I knew generally what happened going into it, but still... We have to a serious, emotionally driven chapter at least once in modern Zelda No Vorsu canon, and this bittersweet Zelink moment created by Nintendo themselves felt the most appropriate place for it. Yes, that does mean a lack of lewds that will immediately turn some of you away, but has it ever hurt someone just to read a story for the story?

You were not someone I was worried the lack of lewds would turn away. Watching the scene probably wrecked me the worst. Writing it I was a bit more okay because I had writing brain on, but proofreading it again this morning wrecked me... though maybe listening to the version of Zelda's lullaby that plays during the scene while reading it was inviting that. The Big N really pulled out the stops on this scene though. Link's reactions at the end of it gut punch just as much as Zelda's last lines.

Wow... this was a really emotional adaptation of the source material. I couldn't tell whether it was you narrating or Link thinking at times, but in a good way. I guess you're right, sometimes you gotta let the story stand without lewds.

Consider this the source material plus my emotional response to it adapted together. That's probably why it feels so emotional. Narration is the main way Link can express himself when he's not allowed to speak, but also, sometimes he and I were thinking similar things. But yeah... this is where lewds would have a detrimental impact on the story that I couldn't let stand. This needed to be pure and untouched.
