This one, I think, is probably the weakest in the series so far, but people also liked the one with Koko, so I suppose this is a case of me being my harshest critic.

Prompt #9 for Voretober was "Glitch". Though Meskhenet is the pred here, I think the real focus of the piece is the prey, Kazukazu Kirigiri.

He's basically intended to be a satire on isekai protagonists. You take some fat NEET loser who has read the billion-and-a-half isekai novels out there, have him hit by a truck, and then put him in a shonen protagonist body in a fantastical world with magic, dragons, and plenty of hotties...Who wouldn't think their dreams came true?

Unfortunately for Kazukazu, Mojie is a functioning world with future-level technology and progressive enough views on women's rights that you're not going to get laid by being only slightly better than the Republic of Gilead.

Still, his special power is that he runs off of JRPG physics. That means he can get stronger if he wins fights...But he first has to actually win them. Part of the mechanics means that combat is turn-based, which is why Meskhenet was simply unable to move.

Of course, a game can glitch, and Meskhenet is a snake whose luck means she is the antithesis to Murphy's Law. To her, if anything can go right, then it will go right. Thus...The attack glitches and misses; and she gets a bonus move each turn, which allows her to finish off Kazukazu in just 3 swallows.

And, yeah, Meskhenet's back, too. Her old concept was as the Shitenno of Byakko, but considering Isetnofret and the Tebelians now fit the niche of Egyptians (and the fact that her old concept of basically being an all-encompassing business mogul would not work in a society like Mojie's), I had to scrap her and rebuild her from the ground up.

She's still a dark-skinned white-scaled snek, though. Just, instead of being a powerful governmental figure and economic keystone, she's instead a fuckin' nerd that streams herself gaming and/or eating (i.e. mukbang) and/or sleeping on rocks to get money from SIMPs. And she's chubby.

Thumbnail source. The face is the closest I could find to what I imagine for Meskhenet, though it's not perfect, and the body is pretty different. I'll look into commissioning a portrait and swap it out when that time comes.
