Florans best starbound race. Both for the obvious 'everyone is food' philosophy, and the fact that they vibe with my 'loot everything and leave' playstyle.

I tried playing starbound, sad that it didn't catch me on as I hoped, because yeah, they really seem a great race!

Aye, Starbound vanilla be dead, as a good chunk of the community is now resolved with modded & such, somethin' like Starbound is incomplete, but the modded side has somewhat revived it.
