The Midnight Nombering By BadlyDrawnDedede -- Report

Holy frick, I'm finally done with this! Took me over an entire month but I'm finished with this beast! To be fair, this did turn out four to five pages longer than I wanted, but that's just par for the course by this point.

If I haven't made it apparent by this point, I'm an absolute sucker for the Metal Slug series of games. Out of all the wacky and wild levels the series has you going through, the most memorable by far is mission 2 of Metal Slug 3. It's a horror themed level that introduced the blood-gushing zombie transformation, as well as having a kickass theme that originally inspired this story. In face, the title of the story is actually a cheeky play on words of that track title, The Midnight Wandering! So, this passage is my personal love letter to the franchise and all the good childhood memories the old Metal Slug games have given me.

The thumbnail art is done up by (and therefore property of) zero93. A link to the original source will be provided.

I hope y'all have some good fun reading this story. Despite what I said earlier, I had a good time writing it, and I wish for y'all to experience that same feeling. Enjoy!

I do agree, that track goes hard. But, I gotta say the china soundtrack from 2/X is better, really completes the mayhem of that level.

Hey, that's a pretty awesome track too! 2/X and 3 had some pretty solid soundtracks that make for a good listen anytime!
