Had a bit of a delay between Thanksgiving and the recent MVA update, but we're back! People were pretty split on what we should do, but overall getting to know the harpies we're travelling with seemed like the most popular suggestion. I grabbed conversation topics from a number of different comments! I also had us avoid drinking for now since there was talk of potentially going after the goblin tonight, but we did drop a bit more coin on getting food.
What should we do now: excuse ourself to see if we can do anything about the goblin bounty tonight, or stick with the harpies for now and try to get up early enough to take care of it before we leave? Or maybe forget about it altogether? Or something else? As always these are just some possibilities to get you thinking :P

I'd say let's go find Malva's house and ask about this goblin. The earlier we can find them the better.
I also think we should take Zera's advice, and talk to the goblin if/when we find them before deciding how we want to deal with them. It seems like there's a good chance she's just down on her luck and stealing food to survive. Considering Adrea's theieving background, I feel like she could probably sympathize with that & doesn't think it should earn her a digestin'. We're not even hungry right now anyway.
I think we should also visit the general store when we have time. The following morning seems like the best time, assuming it's open before we have to leave with our harpy traders.

Let collect some information about this fish stealing goblin, mainly which stores has been attacked by the gobbo. If we figured out that, and the direction of which she ran, perhaps we'll find her hiding spot.

I think we should think of a more solid cover story for when someone asks us where we are from. Not that I think it'll happen, but I want to be prepared when saying 'down south' isn't going to cut it.
Also, I say we don't take the goblin quest. We really don't know this region well, and if we want a ride to Laridan we probably don't want to get lost. Though I do think checking out the general store either tonight or early morning is a good idea!
Finally, just some notes on Filia to keep in mind. She was gazing at the harpy at the other table, she's apparently a menace when she gets drunk (and I'd say she's gettin' p drunk), and she really likes our robe. I say we just be mindful about her right now!

I'll think of something more substantial tonight, but here's what I'm thinking so far. It should be more on the simple side rather than super complex and shouldn't mention that we are a thief. Also, probably shouldn't mention the town we originally fled from as we don't know if anyone would be tracking us. Finally, if we ever do get questioned about the bracers, we should just say they were a gift
and ye I'd like to see what others think our cover story should be!

Were a traveler now. for most people it will probably be enough to name the places we've been through. If asked more specifically for our place or origin there's always saying it's not as interesting to talk about as the other places we've been.

I agree with what's been said here. Keep it simple, mostly fill it with the truth of where we have been, and just be vague/evasive if asked for specifics about where we came from. Anyone who isn't satisfied by that is probably already on to us. Most people wouldn't have a reason not to be satisfied with that answer.

Poke quiet fun at Filia that she should go get a drink with the harpy, and maybe a bit more judging by her leering! Egg her on a bit!
After that, split off from the harpies to question a bit about the goblin bounties... then maybe follow up after and see if Filia went to another room for the night xD.

I'm still all for investigating the goblin bounty, and I'll also throw my hat into extending an olive branch to her if she doesn't seem too dangerous. To that end I suggest we purchase an extra bit of food here and wrap it up for safe keeping. If our goblin friend is just hungry, we could offer it as proof of being non-hostile. In any case, definitely finish up eating and head out ASAP. I'd say our time limit is pretty strict, even a seemingly simple job can have plenty go wrong.
