No matter the time, even at night, Stormwind was never a quiet city. Citizens drinking late at night, smiths and other craftmen perfecting their work... The dwarven district in particular, was amongst the noisiest neighbourhoods in the capital of the Alliance. That one night however, would be louder than usual. A thundering "ZAP" resounded from one of the many workshops of the district.
"Curses!" Carma shouted to herself.
The Draenei engineer was working on a prototype of a shrink ray. A marvel of technology, one would say, if only it hadn't spontaneously triggered without warning! Not only that, Carma cursed herself when she realized the antenna of her device was pointed at an adventurer, randomly passing by... As the unfortunate target suddenly shined in an almost blinding light of energy and shrank down to a few inches, Carma let go of her wrench, only to watch powerlessly the phenomenon.
"For Naruu's sake!" She thought. "What is a Night elf even doing here?!"
But this question was the least of her problem. If the bright light hadn't been noticed somehow, the loud zap certainly had. It was only a matter of time before the guards came. While the shrunken Kaldorei was still stunned by this unexpected beam of light, the engineer quickly kneeled down to grab her, while looking around for any curious guards.
"Sorry little one!" Carma whispered as she got up and opened her mouth.
In just a second, she shoved the elf in her mouth, clearly intending to swallow her down. The best way to hide evidence is by digesting it, after all! The poor tiny didn't seem to agree though, as she frantically flailed her legs around in distress while they were still outside, to no avail.
"A moment, please, Draenei?"
Carma suddenly tensed up. When did those guards even arrive?! Oh well. With no time to savour her victim (not that she intended to anyway), the blue creature tilted her head back... and swallowed.
As the wriggling lump slid down her throat, taking the elf's cries and protests down with it, she couldn't help but stretch a subtle smile of satisfaction and relief. Not only was the evidence taken care of, but she just tasted wonderful!...
"Ah, yes! What is it, my friends?" Carma turned around to face the two guards. Noticing the one with no helmet was probably the superior officer, she quickly turned her attention to the redhead human.
"We... heard a loud noise coming from this area. Do you happen to be involved in it?"
"Oh yes, of course! I was testing my uh... Mass-changing ray! Hehe..."
Clenching her fists in front of her chest nervously, she looked at the two small humans alternatively in an utmost embarrassing silence.
"Mass-changing ray?" The redhead stared up at the two-meter tall alien with a perplex look.
Carma nodded. "Exactly! It is supposed to make heavy objects easier to carry. The first shot was a failure, but it's absolutely harmless!... Why don't you, erm, come and see!" She raised her arms toward her workshop, as a welcome sign...
"You look nervous." Said the officer as she walked in.
"Well... Of course! I just failed my first shot, and it made noise! This can only be embarrassing, eh?..."
Carma leaned on her desk, giving the brightest nervous smile she could. That tiny elf was kicking bloody hard within her guts! She dared not to look at her exposed midriff, to avoid attracting attention, but she could bet her toned abs were bulging from all the intense kicks thrown by her improvised meal.
"Curses..." She thought to herself. "Even the Gnome I had for lunch didn't struggle so hard! And not even shrunk! She'd have definitely made a terrible foe at full size..."
She kept smiling and explaining how her invention was supposed to work, while omitting any detail involving shrinking...
"Just... keep looking at the machine..."
A little gurgle suddenly echoed from her blue stomach.
Luckily, it didn't catch the humans' attention...
Another gurgle, along with a stretch of her blue skin.
...yet.
"This is going to be a loooong night..."

Poor poor adventurer. Even in the city you could die an adventurers death …, at least she helped a person even if it’s the one killing her XD
