All the non-Lamia nuns have to pass the ritual. So if they can do it so can the poor heretic. It is her fault for not taking the ritual serious thinking the church was idiots for leaving her alone. Beside in this world unlike the other species gods the First Serpent is still alive since she ate the other gods.

Trying to. Don’t want to rush the comics creation process. As for wars the was peace in the world for the most part when all the gods where around. Once the First serpent ate the mouse god and devouring the rest things changed. Her children became more powerful gain tattoos that allow them to gain their victims strength and abilities. The war was quick leading to the First Serpents dominance in the world. The other species imitate devouring their opponents thinking they can become stronger but are only giving praise to the First Serpent in doing so.

Hmm you definitely should get someone to at least write stories taking place . Or make an outline of sorts . Because this seems interesting.
Also does this take place on a world that is dominated by magic. Cause it seems like the oppressive society that arises when one part is not considered as powerful. If there was advanced technology it wouldn’t make sense fir anyone to let the serpent’s people rule the world . Kinda like how the Catholic Church lost all its power when people stopped supporting them to technology.. well that and the blatant corruption . But this setting only really has massive body counts , not corrupt nagas right ?

Most of these stories I plan on putting in the comics in a way. Like the story about the gods being eaten can be told to a Taurus prisoner before being eaten by the Pope. Yes this world has magic. Each species had a specialities with magic. The magic the other species can use now that their god have been devoured as lessen by the order of victims. So the mice have next to no magic while the Taurus have the most of the godless species. The Lamias aren’t corrupt just hungry. Humans aren’t the main source of food for the Lamias harpies are numerous and their eggs are the main food for young Lamias. Captured Taurus can be sent to a farm to aid in maintaining a stable food source for the Lamias. Non aggressive species to the church are only eaten if they are criminals or show support to the church foes. Humans are generally able to live long lives under the protection from the church. Settlements outside that protection is where it gets dangerous.

Ah so it’s a caste system. Meaning I had the right era , just the wrong country . This seems very similar to old school Asia stereotypes. A lot like the power fantasy anime’s too. Where no one is “oppressed “ but they can’t accelerate higher due to their race. And it’s implied chaos outside the realm of the caste system .

Your not wrong. Except on the ranks in society. The Judge in the white on the first page of the comic is a bishop of the faith and higher Ranking then all the Lamias shown at this moment. Faith in your god grants power and now that there is one Goddess her followers get some nice perks. So humans and others can become powerful, Lamias just get a head start because they can eat to gain power. The other species have faith in their gods but that just feeds the First Serpent as she devours their divinity.

Your not wrong there about them being the victors. They aren’t oppressive in forcing others to join the faith. They just defend themselves from a place of power. The others species want peace but are afraid of the lamias which leads to conflict. I have an idea of an Angel invasion. The Angels being worse since they enslave the other planets they enlighten to serve in their armies like in Doom Eternal or the Covenant in Halo. Despite the alliance of gods under the Angels goddess they made a huge mistake opening their worlds to the First Serpent’s hunger. The invading angels are devoured allowing the Lamias the ability to travel to other worlds and offer those world’s divinity to their Goddess.

Hmm that sounds like a great concept but if you do it you have to decide . Are the lamias Conquerors , missionaires , diplomats or aid workers.

If you make the conquerors then they’re the villains .and in which case you have to write a war story where they lose as the entire universe would turn on them

If you make them missionaries then they are definitely the villains who use religious guilt and the implied threat of starvation to force the masses to convert .

Diplomats are the good guys who provide help where needed in return for unity between nations .

But aide workers are the good guys who just provide help where needed and don’t force or expect anything in return

The Lamias are like real life snakes in my mind. Leave them alone they leave you alone. They do still kill others to eat but it not personal. As the latest Lamia named Mommy Hope has shown the church has supported the orphanage so they do public works. So they can be a combination of Diplomats and Aid workers on the planets they visit. The local population won’t be punished for the gods crimes nor forced to worship the First Serpent. They will set up a base to build a church to allow the Goddess access to the world to devour the planets gods or goddess. Once that is done the base will be either provide aid to those who want it and defeat the angels governing the planet. Allowing the planet to rule themselves but the Lamias keep the base for negotiations and trade.

That’s a very thin line they’re walking then. As they are subtly eradicating every other religion . Setting themselves up as the only one left. Even though there were others .
And it makes sense that they’re based off snakes . Though it seems that they have all the shady nature as well. The orphanage is a nice touch. But if even a single child goes missing or is eaten. People will view them as just simply raising their own cattle.

Agreed. The First Serpent is just retaliating to the invasion and just targeting the gods and goddess that are in the alliance that attacked. Planets not apart of the alliance are avoided or unknown to her. She is protecting herself and her children be they from her divinity or adapted. Lamias don’t eat children in their territories. They would view it as a waste of food. Also harming the faithful is very bad because that is faith being robbed from the Goddess. Also even with the tattoos digestion takes hours or more depending on the strength of the Lamia. So unless the child turns out to be a young Taurus spying and spreading a false faith, children are not harmed. Like any society there are criminals who try and abuse the weak. So if a child goes missing it assume it a crime group that is about to be devoured because criminals are the prime targets of the church as a free meal without repercussions. Also the church has um… farms for a supply of harpies eggs and the occasional of age Taurus for the Lamias to eat. The mice people that gather in cities and tons stealing scraps are a good snack for lamias and meals for cat people.

That seems like society is crapping on the mice people . They’re pretty weak and have almost no magic combine that with the caste system and it seems a lot like the mice people are being forced into this situation . The entire thing here seems a lot like everything is being made to satisfy the lamias first while everyone else is secondary unless they get really lucky .

I can kinda understand why people are robbing with that in mind since the lamia approach to the world is still rather oppressive

Can’t deny that the mice people are treated like rodents are for us in our world. Most animal people are what animals are to us here. So Taurus as cows, harpies as chicken, etc. The farm is more like “The Promised Neverland” if you seen/ read that. Everyone can own a business or land even if they aren’t members of the church. Crime is mainly people selling drugs or slaves which the church forbids. Taurus and harpies are the exception since they seen as hostiles that harm the peace since they are the one who invade the Theocracies territories to attack towns with Lamias thinking foolishly that devouring them can restore their goddess back to them. Harpies are just usually bird brains but a few are smart which lead to them posing as Angels to try and gain faith for their goddess. They messed up and attacked the towns the almost converted earning the disdain of the Lamias and Taurus alike.

Well no w I understand why all the other gods and races revolted . Sheesh if it were me I’d try to revolt too.am a society this unbalanced is basically a breeding ground for hatred . The promised never land is an apt comparison too. But I’d argue a mix of that and fire force. Where the church controls the world and everyone suffers other than the people they choose . Yes humans can live peaceful lives but it’s a caste system. Meanwhile the mice , Taurus , and harpies are in worse shape because it’s stacked heavily against them too except they are treated more as produce and cattle .

It seems that while your intent is for the lamias to be the noble ruling class. They seem more like the villains already. Cause society favors them heavily here and screws everyone else

I do favor the Lamias yes. The fire force is not completely wrong since the Lamia just want a stable food source and peace, no crazy plan to set the world on fire to became a second sun to end human sin. The harpies and Taurus outside the farm can live in peace but choose to be aggressive and not work towards peace with other species.
