(Don't) Look Behind You By YepMcNope -- Report

Or, "They Meat"

In which our two main characters finally come face-to-face. Their showdown will be legendary! Or... not? Just what is this woman planning?
Although this one may seem to end on a pretty open-and-shut note, the truth is that this story is just getting started...

Part 1: https://aryion.com/g4/view/724837
Part 2: https://aryion.com/g4/view/726503
Part 3: (You are here)

This one has been pretty much done, vore scene aside, since I disappeared four-ish months ago. Sorry for the wait on that; these stories were supposed to be on the shorter side specifically so that I could get them out more quickly, but it looks like that didn't end up happening.

This one ended up longer than either of the last two, but it's nothing compared to the huge one this next entry is shaping up to be. Let's hope it doesn't hit 10k words again... Or maybe let's hope it does! Do let me know in the comments: do you like shorter stories, or longer ones?

I FUCKING LOVE THIS!! Was not expecting combat in a vore story, but I love how Charlotte handled everything as well as how she found out about the labor camp! Really want Uva to either be locked away forever (since age is different for Gloomites) or receive a death penalty because of Slave Labor, 1st degree Murder, Sex Trafficking, and Attempted Murder of a government official. Who knows what else she will be charged with, she seemed very scared about the government so I will be looking forward to seeing justice happen!

But again, love that there was combat! Not just a simple struggle, but actual blows and strategy! Charlotte had a handle on everything and knew how to manipulate the whole situation and remain in control! I have so much respect for her and am excited to see what will happen next! Justice for all and down with dehumanizing predators!

Good to see you again, and I'm glad you enjoyed! It's true, Charlotte is both quite cunning and quite nimble, and I wanted to show both of those capabilities of hers.

But this is also only our first look into her true nature, and I want to make clear that there's still more than meets the eye here... for both characters. As well as the setting. I hope to explore more of the situation regarding planet Globulus in the future.

I don't want to give anything away just yet, but keep in mind, no matter how, um, *unusual* things get... that Charlotte has a plan here. I think.

I am excited to see what happens next!

Still hate Uva for deciding to ignore easier and better ways to get human meat than hiding an entire breeding and cultivating factory in your basement. Especially when it is very similar to a Concentration camp from the Human world, would be surprised if Gloomites didn't have similar events in their history considering how human-like their behavior is.

Again, I love Charlotte and I am super excited to see what happens with her and the people who were trapped in the breeding cycle.

And yes, nice to see you as well! Not like we haven't been chatting in DM's!

Glad to hear you're so into it~ We'll see how long that continues for... nah jk. (or am I?)

By "easier and better ways," I imagine you mean cloning, right? Well, things aren't quite that simple. I suppose I've only addressed it in part 1 at this point, but the Globulus government has quite the stranglehold on the legal market.

Obviously, clones are the morally-superior method if you can get them, but cloned people are quite expensive and highly-regulated, as is the technology and machinery needed to produce them. Uva could surely afford legal humans herself, but only because of how lucrative her business is. And most of her customers certainly can't afford such a luxury.

Exploring Globulus history sounds like a really good idea. To be honest I haven't thought so much about the specifics of "how things got like this" since I feel like that's less important than the themes that the setting conveys in its current state, but that would be a good idea for something down the line.

I've been having a bit of a stressful week, and have fallen behind on writing in general, but I promise to get back to you eventually about what we've been discussing in DMs.

Yeah, about the cloning thing, I guess it could have a lot of similarity to the Dairy Community: where things are very humane even though it is in the production of food. Again, I am world builder so my mind travels from the past to the future for all of my stories instead of just the moment of a setting. Even if I never write it down, I have the answer to how a society works, what happened to all of the people, what could happen in the future, etc. SI-Fi stories are perfect settings for me thanks to that because of it's futuristic idea; there are so many different ways to build things to work.

I remember seeing someone who was inspired by Terry Pratchett and a line they wrote that caught my eye was this: "I'm terrified because they are different. I'm terrified because when I look at them, for a second there I can see myself in their eyes and if I was wrong, then all I've said and done.." (Talking about racism. I can send the image in DM's if you are interested). I kind of want to see that with Uva, her realizing that humans aren't a lower form of person, just different. Again, much like our world back when the world was more segregated. (There is a lot we can learn from our own history and from our own world)

And please let yourself rest! Take as much time as you need, I have the time and it does not matter how long it will take since we don't have a limit.

Again I don't want to spoil anything, but these are all very interesting thoughts and concepts and I will keep them in mind! I think you're picking up pretty well on some of the themes I had in mind here.

(Though to be honest, I maybe didn't think as hard about the race angle as I should have, and now I'm starting to worry about how some plans of mine will be taken... hm...)

Being from a society and culture where I am labeled as the person to be racist and judgmental, I have tried my best to open my mind to other perspectives and ideas. And so (especially in the video game I am writing) I am trying to write in a way where I am not ignorate to other perspectives and interpretation. That does not mean I write to appease others, it just means I am aware of the potential I have.

Right, that's a good mentality to have! I think I'm still gonna go with my original general plan for this series, but I'll try to make some adjustments to account for different ways people might look at the story. (This next part is almost already finished, but I'll see if I can think of a way to re-frame some aspects of it... Within reason, anyway. At the end of the day we're dealing with erotica here lol, there's a point where you start thinking *too* hard about it when it'd be smarter to just lean on suspension of disbelief.)

That is fair, sorry for probing. Good luck with your writing!

Thanks! And there's nothing to apologize for. You're very right that it's good to think of things from as many angles as you can, and I'll keep that in mind.
