Everyone is a baby at least once in their life, even big, scary, maiden-eating dragons. This short story is about Draken's experiences upon his birth in a cave.

When you told me you were going to write about Draken's origin, you really went all the way back!
It is a fascinating thought that dragons have some sort of consciousness already before hatching! That his siblings turned out to be bullies didn't come as much as a surprise, seeing that his mother didn't care that much and his father being quite the dastard.
I wonder what will happen next for the little guy in this big and strange world.

Yep, all the way back to the beginning ^^
I'm honestly not sure when oviparous creatures actually gain any form of consciousness to be honest. That said, baby alligators call their mother while they are hatching, so I imagine they become self-aware around the time they decide to emerge from their shells.

This was brilliantly written. I am curious how he continued from there, what all the hardship earned him or molded him into.

Thank you! Nature and Nurture have a lot to do with what kind of person someone will become, including a dragon.
