Powerful suction, a sticky muscular tongue and internal undulations of Rudy's rubbery snout squeeze the woman deeper. As she slides helplessly into the anteater's thick-walled gizzard what is going to happen to her becomes all too clear. A partially digested rabbit is there waiting for her.

She can only hope against hope that someone will see what is happening and save her, but no one does. No one has ever seen Rudy swallow someone except after the fact, and then only because they put a DVR and camera up after a hapless intern went to feed Rudy and did exactly that.

One of these days they'd like to see it happen in person. Of course, feeding someone to an anteater would be deeply illegal. Not much more illegal than concealing the fact that four people so far, including a mother and her son, have disappeared down Rudy's gullet, mind you.

The other worry, that they'd be helping train the anteater to see people as food, is not really a concern. That fact seem to be cemented in his mind already.
