Whenever Cress visits the village, someone always needs to bring water along so that he'll be able to breathe, even on land. That means he has to be pushed around everywhere... Though, Cale doesn't mind. Krail has a bad habit of starving himself and suddenly letting go of his self-control when it gets to be too much. Cale wants him to eat properly, though the assassin is still far too into the habits of his old life. Cress isn't really a glutton, though he can't help himself when it comes to Cale's cooking...! Even when's bloated and fattened, he'll insist that he's still as gorgeous and beautiful as ever. Perhaps even more so. (The pearl on Cress' headband is sought after by many, as it is a special one made from mermaids in particular. Cress has tangled with his fair share of fishermen keen on taking it for themselves.)

(Cress is a wanderer, and journeys through the ocean in his lonesome. Not that he would have it any other way, though ever since meeting Cale and Krail, he always finds himself back at the village to speak with them. He's a bit of a partier... even that might be an understatement. Cress can really let himself go when it comes to partying. Can mermen even get drunk? No one knows for sure, though every so often Cress will wash up ashore on the island, extremely intoxicated. Just how hard does he go...?)

Cale is a firm believer of "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach", and is convinced that is why Krail fell in love with him. He always goes all out whenever Cress visits, in hopes of making the merman stay and perhaps finally give his all in a relationship, though it never seems to work. He remains determined, however, to fully win the merman's heart. (In a way, he has.)

Cale and Krail do consider Cress to be apart of their relationship, even if the merman doesn't see that. He always comes to see them, and they always end up showing love to one another (even though Cress shows a majority of it to himself). When Cress is especially drunk, he gets very, very touchy-feely and tends to shower both Cale and Krail with kisses. It does nothing but make the whole matter of the merman's relationship with them all the more confusing. He does care about them... Is he really that narcissistic?

(Krail and Cress find Cale's stomach to be very plush and soft, and Krail especially has a tendency to fall asleep while rubbing it. Cale keeps himself well-fed and round just to keep up his 'tender' look. He's been like that ever since his youth, and doesn't plan on slimming down any time soon.)

Cress does know magic, though he's not the brightest at using it. Mermaids are capable of surviving on land so long as they have the right magic for it

...And so long as they're smart enough to use it.

Cale won't stop trying until Cress finally admits his feelings. It's clear that he has them since he always comes to see them.
