Syd forgets that it is Mother's Day, and as impenetrable as she appears in her demeanor, the Head Savant finds great importance in family values, and gets rather emotional when her son doesn't quite share her sentiments on the same degree. Minerva is not averse to parading her son around in her "detention room" in public, teaching him a lesson he will likely never forget.
