"Elvianian "regular" or "little" mermaids (Sirena vulgaris) are one of the species most closely related to the Golden Elves both from a phylogenetic and a social point of view.
The current view on mermaids evolution is that they diverged from their common ancestor with the Golden Elves and adapted to a marine environment rather recently, maybe even less than one million years ago. This is probably why it is still possible to find mermaid individuals showing abilities reminiscent of their terrestrial cousins, notably with regard to their digestive system.
Socially, as most of these mermaids settlements are found on the shores of the territories inhabited by the Golden Elves, the two species keep close links, performing trade and speaking closely related languages, individuals of one species being often fluent in the language of the other."

From : "On the origin of the Elve's species, by the way of a lot of weird biological shenanigans that never ceases to stupefy me"
by Pr. Syna Kirveen, Merula Press.

Author's note : Lately, I decided to try a new technique is SAI (drawing with the brush instead of a pencil), and it is working quite well. So well I decided to draw a little something before to do more hearty things...

It has been a while since your last mermaid vore. ^^
Also, kind of weird that a mermaid needs sun lotion, considering that they live in the ocean for most of their lives you would think their skin and scales already protect them from sun burns.
Great work as always!

So very well done! I always find your work so amazing! ^^
Love the various species you have and you do the best digestion scenes ever~ Hehe.

Beautiful art and scene! How long would it take this mermaid to digest this meal?

At least long enough to get sunburns ^^

...Well, she's just a very "able" mermaid and not a golden elf, it will takes probably a good week before her belly is flat again (but not her chest).

Was first thinking about how someone poops out a whole pirate ship, but then i started wondering how it looks when a mermaid poops in general. Do they have an anus between the butt cheeks like a human or anus further down the fin?

Great Question! I was indeed thinking about it just after I uploaded this pic.
Even if having her anus between her butt cheeks could be seen as "sexier", I always prefered to remain on the "biologically sensible" side, and the lower body of my mermaids is suuposed to be very anatomically close to the rear of a dolphin, the tail being structured from an extension of the coccyx, with the hipbone having greatly diverged from the human-like one of the ground elves and the legs having (almost) completely diseppeared. This is whay, in my mind, the anus of a Elvianian mermaid is on the ventral side, down the fin, just before the tail...

That's interesting, its one of those anatomical questions that very few consider when drawing mermaids so its fascinating hearing about from someone who actually thought of it!
Hope we get to see it in action one day, whether they poop a brown mist like other creatures or if sailors might come across large turds floating on the surface, covered in bones from the crew and bits of planks and metal from the ship or if they sink to the bottom and there's a whole ship graveyard littered with huge turds.
And also if they might be able to utilize the hole for consumption, or if they've evolved to only be able to use it for excretion.

The way you detail objects and people turning to goop is getting just better and better over the years :3 Also, I guess that like their cousins on land, the mermaids are also unable to digest gold artifacts?
