Lets just hope the Firekeeper stays true to her oath, wouldn't want their first playthrough to be a no-levelling up challenge..

... aside from the fact that the Ashen One could get more souls from killing a single Hollow right outside Firelink Shrine, I weep for the wasted Ring of Sacrifice. The inner gamer in me is screaming.

The Firekeeper has quite the lovely figure tho, and if the Ashen One tries to further fatten her up, she could just pull the Coiled Sword from Firelink Shrine. That could make the Ashen One remain dead forever, and perhaps the next Ashen One won't be so stupid.

Methinks the answer is this is the first time they died, maybe they think they can retrieve their humanity as well. Maybe they've not tried to sell the ring and has no idea about it's value or rarity.
