Sorry for the extended wait on this one, I was on vacation a week or two after the last chapter came out and I had to finish the map of the southern vale on top of doing the writing! But, we're back now, and we've completed our shopping trip! There were a lot of different suggestions so I tried to pick and choose a few things that seemed popular or addressed popular concerns, and I made sure we didn't spend more than half of the money we started with! Miram handling the haggling went well, she was able to save us 3 gold and 5 silver overall, which let walk away with the staff and quite a few spells without going over budget!
Now, with maybe a bit of deja vu, we've walked into a guild hall and immediately been given a potential task. What do you think of her offer?

(Please note that the map is not necessarily totally accurate or consistent when it comes to scale and level of detail, it's just meant to give you a general lay of the land and show where things are relative to each other):

Remember, you can ask any questions about the world (that are relevant to the current chapter) if you think you want/need more information about something! I'll do a 'live' intelligence check before answering if it's something Adrea might know.

Consider the offer, but our new friend Lenora here doesn't seem terribly reliable. Adrea should see if she can get this deal confirmed by a higher ranked member, for instance, see if we can curry Ariel's favor. We need to get Miram combat training, and on paper doing a hunt to earn that sounds like a good deal, but I think it should come from a more established hunter if it can be helped. Try to avoid insulting Lenora. Also, gather as much information about the job as possible, what we'll be hunting, how far to travel, has Lenora taken on this level of hunt before?

I’d say take up Lenora’s offer. She seems mostly trustworthy and Miram could really use some combat training for your next fight. Plus, Adrea will be giving her new staff a test a test run in the meantime.

I’m inclined to accept, but not before asking what exactly we’d be hunting and why Lenora wants our help instead of that of an established guild member.

Miriam & Adrea's little shopping trip was great. I just love both these characters together.
I would say we should accept. Lenora seems fun & freindly, and even if she is just a low ranking member, we don't have a reason not to take her at her word. I agree it's worth asking a couple more questions though, like what she wants to hunt and why she's asking us for help instead of someone wiht more experience as ScarKnight said.
Assuming none of her answers raise any red flags we should go with it. As others have mentioned it seems like a good way to get some training and practice with our new staff/spells.

I like the skepticism from the other comments and agree with both the caution and the willingness to take the job if it's all above board. Luckily Ariel is there to ask questions to as well about how much Lenora can actually offer when it comes to securing a place in the guild for a magic user and a novice. We should also ask Lenora about what weapons Miram would be trained to use and how much training is being offered.

I agree with the general consensus. Ask for a bit more detail - what sort of monster we'd be hunting, and why choose us over some other guild member.
Assuming the questions are answered satisfactorily, then I'd say we accept.

Ask for the details of what exactly the hunt is, and have Lenora actually try to teach her how to use weapons. Which might be a bit difficult given the size difference, but who knows, she might be a great teacher.
