After having ingested the Ring of Sauron, Galadriel felt a strange wave of nausea. However there was no physical reaction of her elven shape trying to take the Ring out. Instead she felt her consciousness slowly fade, while at the same time expand.
New desires of power appeared, paired with a strange hunger. Now the elven queen is no longer herself.
