I like the little details like the mention of “food families” and the implication Sarah convinced his mother into approving this with an off page conversation that this is the way of things with some people or families are naturally preds or prey and even with heir fate, prey accept that they are food. It’s nice world building and gives way to other ways to hav lovers to meals stories
