Not sure what this is? Here's a post explaining the series!: https://aryion.com/g4/view/712411
____________
Everyone seemed to be on board for taking the job from Lenora and bringing Miram along! I though the suggestion of hitting up the library was a good idea for the rest of the day, and I also threw in an earlier suggestion from last time of what to do with our empty bottle

Now that we have our plan set with the hunters guild though, we're back at the mage guild to follow up on the offer from before. Do we definitely want to join? And if so, should we try to face her trial or just sign on as a novice and call it a day? Any other input?

You can find Adrea’s character sheet here!: https://aryion.com/g4/view/712418

Remember, you can ask any questions about the world (that are relevant to the current chapter) if you think you want/need more information about something! I'll do a 'live' intelligence check before answering if it's something Adrea might know.

| CLOSED - There's either a more recent entry available to read or I've already outlined the next chapter! |

Hurray for makeshift firebombs! AS for joining the guild, I'm indifferent to the idea. I'm fine with whatever the majority chooses, but if we do decide to join, we should def accept the challenge. We aren't a quitter after all!

How strong are nymphs like Sila usually?

Adrea is not overly familiar with elementals unfortunately so doesn't have a great frame of reference for that question, but she knows that nymphs are one of the weaker varieties. Based on the incident with Veela way back in the early chapters where she'd fallen in love with one and described it as beautiful, and the fact that both the ones she's now heard of had names, Adrea assumes that nymphs are sapient humanoids and not just constructs like the wisps we fought before.

I say we should go for it, and take this test to become an apprentice. It seems like something well within our abilities and would be preferable to just joining as a novice.

Being a part of the guild would give us access to a lot of benefits, and if we do ever end up working with Sirna again I'm sure it'd open useful doors for us. We can also just quit and leave at any time from the sounds of it, in the event that becomes necessary.

With the current comments, I say that we should go for it. Currently we're at full health, and this will be a great chance to test our new spells. Given that our enemy would be a water nypmh, I'm assuming that we can't use Blind, but I am wondering if summoning Ice Wall directly beneath them would either launch them into the air, or spilt her body into two, if she somehow doesn't dodge. Whatever the results, we can then either Flame Jet if Silasandret is in the air, or Burning Wave if she is still on the ground, cause I'm assuming that fire beat water this time around. And if she has resistance to fire, then we should switch over to frostbolt to gauge the resistance to that. Either way, should be a good opener and follow-up step. No idea what happens after that.

And a question for our dear dm. Is there a possibility, that somewhere in the library is a book of spells that is just waiting for someone to find it. Cause it would be extremely funny, that an old book sits in a corner undistrubed for a long time, only for a noive wizard to find it, and basically learn all different kinds of magic.

Also a shame we couldn't grab Fire Circle. Would have been a better opener than Ice wall. But perhaps launching the enemy into the air like you're a Mei player from overwatch would just be as effective, as trapping your enemy in a fire tornado.

I say we fight for that apprenticeship! We've got nothing to lose. It sounds like we'll get plenty of benefits if we succeed and a safe environment to get stronger would serve Adrea well. If we lose, our wounds will be healed and we'll just sign on as a novice. If some call to adventure takes us far away from this town, ( or if a certain receptionist disappears ) we can just leave without saying anything. It'd be a burnt bridge, since our membership would get revoked, but I think by that point Adrea will have gotten everything she needs from this paricular mage guild.

Accept the offer; if we fail we fail safe and can still get training that we'll have proven we need. Win or lose we should inform Masrah that we are taking a short trip to help get our companion into the hunter's guild and will not be available during that time.
