Not sure what this is? Here's a post explaining the series!: https://aryion.com/g4/view/712411
____________
Blocking off the others with a wall proved to be a very effective strategy! That searing wave followup while they were all grouped up still was the most devastating single attack we've seen so far, dealing almost 100 damage total(if we count the hit to our own ice wall along with the three bandits) and setting the bushes on fire in the process. And that hard hit combined with the effective defense of our weak links was enough to make Madeline lose confidence that fighting to the finish was worth it!
Now we're back on the road, how should we proceed? Carry on as planned or are we worried enough about the bandits still being out there to take Joan up on her offer? Either way, any input on the rest of our trip or the current situation?
Next on the agenda is to hunt that giant toad, remember.
You can find Adrea’s character sheet here!: https://aryion.com/g4/view/712418
Remember, you can ask any questions about the world (that are relevant to the current chapter) if you think you want/need more information about something! I'll do a 'live' intelligence check before answering if it's something Adrea might know.

I'll take up Joan offer of staying at her farm to rest up for the night. The bandits took a lot out of us mana-wise, and it would be best to recover in a somewhat safe environment. Plus, we can use the downtime for Lenora to teach Miram some moves, and for us to practice some spells. While I doubt Joan would want use to play with fire, we can certainly play with our ice magic. Keep in mind, I'm assuming that during downtime, we can raise our proficiency in certain things by training in said thing, and while no one will be willing to be swallowed and thrown up constantly, the ground is perfectly willing to have dozen of ice spell thrown at it.

A night of less roughing it sounds good! Besides, we need a bite to eat it seems haha

Well that went much better than I expected! That looked real dicey for a second. I think what we do next should depend on our recovery speed. If resting until we reach the crossroads is enough for us to fully recover all our mana, I think we should continue as originally planned, given Lenora's confidence and the fact we're no longer as outnumbered if the bandits do decide to follow us. If not, and we'd need all day to recover completely I think we should take Joan up on her offer. We can't afford to get into another fight with that group without all our mana ready to go.
Either way, we should expect the bandits to make good on their threat and act accordingly, doing our best to cover our tracks and keep an alert watch at night.
Question: Would our Survivalist skill be of any use when it comes to finding food in this or the upcoming area? If so we should give that a try if we end up continuing on foot. Otherwise we can just grab some food at Joan's farm.

Unfortunately no, Adrea's survivalist knowledge is from travelling through forested terrain, but the Rolling Fields is mostly open, somewhat arid grassland

Ah, fair enough. I figure we just dig into some rations in the cart in that case, if we do end up continuing as planned.

I think moving on to our objective is in order. After all, we took the direct route as not to daudle too much. Onward to slay some giant toads! Tell Miram that she'll get to have a filling meal of her own before she knows it. The bandits being out there 'is' a problem, but with any luck they won't be able to follow our trail. And If nothing else Adrea and company would be at less of a numbers disadvantage, plus not starting the fight having walked into a trap. Also, see if Lenora will part with some of her rations, since she ended up getting a free meal.

A good night's rest seems like a great idea! It might be smart to post a guard in case the bandits decide to try a sneak attack or some arson though.
