A House of Coils story

Set in a Victorian era port city occupied by a menagerie of anthro fur-folk citizenry of all classes, backgrounds, shapes and appetites - their varieties unified by one eternal, overarching maxim; 'Eat or be Eaten'.

3 lady prisoners have managed to escape off the chain gang and must find their way out of the city; a bookish mouse, a stoic hyena warrior and a streetwise vixen. To escape, they turn to an ancient set of tunnels belonging to a previous age of the city where blood and sacrifice were the only laws. Within those dark catacombs, however, they discover not all aspects of that dark age have rotted away and that the law of 'Eat or be Eaten' proves to be as old and eternal as the stones themselves.
